CUET UG 2025 exam date is expected to release anytime soon at nta.ac.in. Candidates will be able to know the CUET UG 2025 exam schedule. National Testing Agency will release the exam date, basis which candidates can prepare for the upcoming CUET examination.

National Testing Agency is anticipated to release the CUET UG 2025 exam date anytime soon at nta.ac.in. Candidates can know the CUET 2025 exam date to prepare for the exam along with the board examination. Last year, NTA declared the CUET exam date on September 14, 2023. It is expected that NTA will soon release the exam date. CUET UG 2025 will be held in CBT mode tentatively in May/June 2025. Candidates willing to take admission to the academic year 2025-26 must stay updated with the eligibility criteria, important dates, exam pattern and syllabus. NTA will commence the CUET 2025 registrations from last week of February 2025 at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/.

CUET UG 2025 Eligibility Criteria

CUET UG 2025 is conducted for admission to UG courses offered by Central, State, Private and deemed universities. To get admission to these universities candidates must fill the CUET 2025 application form online. Before filling the application form, candidates must ensure to fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:

  • Students who have completed their class 12th or equivalent examination, or who are set to appear in 2025, can take the CUET 2025 exam regardless of their age.
  • Candidates must meet any age criteria set by the universities to which they are applying.

CUET Subjects 2025

CUET 2025 exam is held for 29 domain subjects, 33 languages and a general test. Candidates will be able to choose up to six subjects inclusive of 4 to 5 domain subjects, one language (compulsory) and general test. Last year, NTA introduced two new domain subjects: Fashion Studies and Tourism.

NTA will commence the CUET 2025 registrations tentatively in last week of February 2025. Candidates will be able to fill the online application form at cuetug.ntaonline.in. Candidates will be notified about the registration start and end date soon after the release of the notification.

Q:   How do I select the domain subjects for CUET UG?

A:

Before selecting the test or domain subjects, candidates are advised to visit the official website of university/organaisation they wish to apply for. Candidates must check the courses offered and eligibility test that they should appear in for admission to desired course. The choice of language/domain subject and General test will depend upon the course and university. Candidates will be able to opt for one or more tests as per the requirement of the course and university from the following sections:

  • Section I - 13 Languages
  • Section II - 23 Domain Specific Subjects
  • Section III - General Test

It is not mandatory to choose any one or more of the tests stated above. The choice of tests would depend on the course/s opted by the candidate and the University / Organization / Institution where admission is sought. 

Q:   How do I apply for a college which requires CUET percentage even though am yet to give CUET?

A:

Candidates can apply for CUET score accepting colleges through CUET UG 2025 application form. While filling the application form, candidates will be required to enter the name of the preffered universities and courses in order of preference. On declaration of the CUET results, the scores will be shared with the unoversities for which candidate has applied. Basis on the score obtained candidate will be shortlisted for the applied course.

Q:   What is the criteria for admission via CUET exam?

A:

For admission in Universities through CUET (UG) - 2025, the existing policies regarding quota, category, relaxation, reservations, qualification, subject combinations, preferences etc.. of the respective University / Institution shall be applicable. For appearing in CUET exam there is no age limit, however, candidates will be required to follow the age criteria (if any) prescribed the university in which candidate is desirous of taking admission. As the eligibility criteria for admission may be unique for every University, the candidates are advised to visit the University website to which they are applying for their respective programs.

Mere appearance in the CUET exam will not guarantee admission to the programme untill the candidates has:

  • Studied subject (s) in major
  • Fulfilled the subject combination criteria
