DU: Financial Support Scheme deadline extends to Jan 17

DU: Financial Support Scheme deadline extends to Jan 17

Dean Students' Welfare Office of Delhi University announced that the last date of the Financial Support Scheme (FSS) 2023-24 is extended up to January 17, 2024.

A full-time bonafide student studying in any undergraduate and postgraduate program at a Department/institution/Centre of the University of Delhi belonging to one of the two categories (category 1 and category 2) can apply. Category 1 includes the candidates whose family income per annum is less than or equal to INR 4,00,000 and Category 2 involves those whose family income per annum is between INR 4,00,000 and INR 8,00,000. For Category 1 students, the fee waiver is 100% and for Category 2 candidates, it is up to 50%.

Students enrolled in B.Tech/five year integrated law program are NOT eligible to apply. Also, students with Essential Repeat (ER) in any previous examinations are not eligible to apply.

Documents required for DU's Financial Support Scheme

The documents needed are -

  • Self-attested copy of EWS/OBC-NCL Certificate or Annual Family Income Certificate issued by competent authority after March 31, 2023. Income Certificate signed by a notary will NOT be accepted.
  • Self-attested copies of latest Income Tax Returns (2022-23) of the following family members - Father, Mother, Sister (S) (Unmarried), Brother (s) (Unmarried and below 25 years of age), self attested copy of PAN card(s) of all the above
  • Signed copy of the Undertaking Form as per the format given on http://www.dsw.du.ac.in
  • Self-attested copy of the mark sheet of the last exam passed, latest Fee Receipt and Bank Pass Book showing the students' name.
