DU Vice-Chancellor Appeals Youth to Vote During 'Run for Viksit Bharat' Campaign by University of Delhi

Delhi University's 'Run for Viksit Bharat' campaign witnessed more than 5000 students from various colleges and departments taking part in the run. Saina Nehwal and Rajkumar Rao adorn the event. 

Delhi University DU Run for Viksit Bharat Campaign

Delhi University organises β€˜Run for Viksit Bharat’ campaign to promote voting awareness among youth. Vice Chancellor of the University of Delhi, Yogesh Singh addresses the event and appeals to students to vote and motivate 10-10 people to vote. More than 5 thousand students from various colleges and departments participated in the run. This run was organized at 7 in the morning from gate number one of the university passed through gate number 4 and ended in the sports complex of the university. Saina Nehwal and Rajkumar Rao were present as special guests during the event. 

β€œWe all want Bharat to move forward and become better. We all should have our own contribution in that. He called upon the students to vote themselves and motivate 10-10 people to vote and said that this work of yours will strengthen democracy and many good things will happen in the country in the next 25 years. Only when you people do good, it will be good for the country. This country belongs to us; It is up to us to make it better and contribute our bit. We

should not become complainers but should become givers in our lives. ” Said the Vice-Chancellor. 

During the run, arrangements were made for everything from drinking water to the ambulance.On this occasion Dean of Colleges Prof. Balaram Pani, Director of South Campus, Prof. Sri Prakash Singh, Registrar Dr. Vikas Gupta, Dean Student Welfare Prof. Pankaj Arora, Sports Director Dr. Anil Kumar Kalkal, Dean Culture Council Prof. Ravinder and many officials and teachers, including thousands of students, were present.
