The launch of a National Research Tour across 10 Indian states aims to strengthen the country’s research landscape and promoting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Ministry of Education, in collaboration with Springer Nature today launched the National Research Tour, an initiative designed to foster research, innovation, academic excellence, and knowledge-sharing throughout India.
15 Research Summits, comprising panel discussions, workshops and field activities on various topics, will be organised across 10+ states. The tour will also cover different facets of academia and research, with a special focus on the emerging trends within India’s academic landscape.
Govind Jaiswal, IAS Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Education commented: “We are happy to collaborate with Springer Nature on this transformative initiative aimed at enhancing India’s research landscape. Education, as a fundamental human right, is the cornerstone for sustainable development, enabling individuals to unlock their full potential and societies to thrive. Our vision is to empower young researchers, support diversity in research, and provide greater access for girl students to pursue scientific research.”

As part of the launch of the national research tour, a panel discussion was also held on ‘Excellence in Academic Learning and Research: Role of E-learning’ at the Delhi School of Economics.
