The screenshot of the student council president promising attendance for attending the nomination rally went viral. College authorities, however, have denied any involvement in the matter.
The alleged controversy went ahead when the screenshot of the president of the college’s student council was shared on social media regarding mandatorily attending the nomination rally near Maiyas Hotel Jaynagar at 9:00 AM.
This was taken by a user who claimed to be a student of the college. In the viral WhatsApp message, the student council president asked students to attend the nomination rally of the BJP leader.
The message further added that students shall wear T-shirts made specifically for the rally and they will be provided with the attendance for the participation.
Responding to the situation, students asked the reason for mandatorily attending the political rally. To which, the council said, "Tejasvi Surya was obliged by the student council to attend our fest, and now it's our turn to do the same."
College authorities, on the other hand, have denied their involvement in this matter and assured that a necessary investigation shall be initiated on this matter shortly.
