UGC is seeking the active participation of students in the GO4Youth Olympiad. It has again written to HEIs to remind that the application date is closing soon on February 25, 2024.

GO4Youth Olympiad application closing soon, says UGC

UGC has written to Higher Education Institutes in continuation of its earlier letter regarding the GO4Youth Olympiad. The application is closing soon on February 25, 2024, said UGC. The Commission has urged for the active participation of students between the age group of 18 to 25 years. 

As per UGC order, the GO4Youth Olympiad has been designed to create awareness focussing on environmental and sustainability issues. The Olympiad will be held in English and Hindi between April 8 to April 12, 2024.

"We eagerly anticipate the active participation of students in your respective HEIs in this Olympiad," said the official notification.

GO4Youth Olympiad Benefits for Students include the Development of an impressive environment portfolio, E-certificates for all participants, Merit and distinction e-certificates for rank holders, Internship opportunities at TERI and other renowned institutes, Cash awards for the top three positions, and Membership in TERI's youth network.

As future leaders, it is crucial to equip students with the knowledge and passion to advocate for environmentally conscious behavior and contribute meaningfully to global efforts aimed at environmental conservation, said UGC in the earlier notification. Moreover, participating in the GO4Youth Olympiad offers students a chance to deepen their awareness about Mission LiFE and other national priority schemes. This aligns with the national agenda and empowers the youth to actively contribute to the country's sustainable development goals.
