IGNOU to hold 37th Convocation on February 20, 2024

IGNOU to conduct its 37th Convocation on February 20, 2024, at the IGNOU’s Headquarters at Convention Centre, IGNOU Campus, Maidan Garhi, Delhi -110068. The Vice President of India will be the Chief Guest on the occassion. 

The students completed their Programme of study in December 2022 and June 2023 Term End Examinations are eligible for award of original certificate at this Convocation.

“The Regional Centres will invite the eligible students who have paid the requisite fee by February 10, 2024, and given their consent to attend the convocation. The Regional Centre may decide about the programmes for which students are to be invited in the Convocation,” said IGNOU’s notification.

The Degrees/Diplomas/Certificates can be collected in person from the next day of the convocation from the respective Regional Centres by the following students or will be sent by the concerned Regional Centres by post to the address of the students:

  • The eligible students who have paid the fees of the Rs 600 of the Regional Centres where Convocation is not to be held.
  • The eligible students who have been invited to attend the convocation, but could not attend and 
  • The eligible students who could not be invited.

In case, the Convocation is not held at the Regional Centre due to any circumstances where the student belongs to, he/she shall have to attend the Convocation at other nearby Regional Centre which may be mostly in the same state/nearby state. Otherwise his/her Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate will be sent to his/her address by post. Intimation in this regard will be issued later on. In case, the students are not invited to attend the Convocation or could not attend the Convocation even after submission of the requisite fee, their degree/diploma will be sent by post by the concerned Regional Centre after the convocation and in case of P.G. Certificate/Certificate Programmes, Certificate will be sent by Headquarters. Such students should therefore contact their concerned Regional Centre, where they belong to/Headquarters, as the case may be, stated IGNOU.

Online portal for registration and remitting the requisite fee will remain open till February 10, 2024. The eligible sutdents who have not paid the requisite registration fee of Rs 600 per certificate online for the 37th Convocation, so far, may pay the requisite fee through https://onlineservices.ignou.ac.in/convocation/login.aspx or online as and when the portal opens.
