IISER 2023 Exam Analysis: Answer Key Released, Check Expected Cutoff, & Live Updates

The window against the objection of answer key will open from June 20 and will close on June 22. The final answer key will be made available on the official website on June 30.

To download the IISER answer key 2023, candidates must follow the below steps:

• Go to the IISER official website 2023- https://iiseradmission.in/   

• Click on the ‘IISER answer key 2023” link.

• Enter application number (roll number) and password.

• The answer key of IISER 2023 will be displayed on the screen.

• Take a print out of the answer key and save it for future reference.

Candidates start coming out of the exam hall after the conclusion of the exam. While some are happy and confident with their performance, others seem to be a little dissatisfied. Overall, there is a sense of relief that the exam is over.

The IAT Session has concluded at 3:30 PM as per the schedule. Candidates have to do the final submission of the test and log out of the system. They must not leave the exam hall unless instructed to do so. They will have to submit the rough sheets before leaving the centre and must ensure to carry their personal belongings that they had deposited during the entry.

As per the reactions of students who appeared in the IAT 2023, it was found that the IISER Aptitude test difficulty level was found to be moderately easy. Students have opted for PCM in their class 12 std, found biology section comparatively moderate to difficult and the students who had opted PCB in their class 12 found the Mathematics portion to be moderately difficult. for the common subjects for both the stream students which are Chemistry and Physics, the exam difficulty level was moderately easy. Those who has studied thoroughly in their class 11 and 12 would find the examination easy to attempt.

It was also found that many questions were indirectly repeated from the previous year questions on the subjects biology and mathematics. In the physics sections questions were maximum asked from theory-based type instead of numerical-based questions.

No, it's not compulsory. There is no best of 3 but your cumulative score is considered and there are several people who achieve a good score with PCM, however, it's preferred if you attempt to bio improve your score to improve your chance of getting your preferred IISER.

While candidates are taking their respective examinations, the exam invigilators will come to the candidate's seat and will mark their attendance by making them sign in the attendance sheet. 

Candidates will be provided sheets of paper to carry out their rough work. They will have to submit the rough sheets to the invigilator after the conclusion of the exam. They must write their IAT 2023 Roll Number on top of each page but should not write their names on it.

IAT 2023 Exam is going to conduct on June 17, 2023, at various IAT 2023 examination centres across the nation. IISER 2023 Entrance Examination will be conducted for three hours in the morning shift from 9 AM to 12 PM. The examination will be conducted via online mode for BS-MS dual degree programme. 

The detailed events timings of the IAT 2023 exam Slot 1 or the forenoon session are given below.

After reaching their allotted labs, candidates will go through the registration process with the invigilators seating at the computer screen. They will check the candidates' names and date of birth and then the digital image and thumb biometrics will be done by them. On the success of the above-mentioned process, candidates will be allotted the desktop numbers and they are supposed to seat there and log in with their credentials.

Candidates have now been allowed to log in to their assigned computer systems and check the instructions carefully. Invigilators also guide candidates in case they face any difficulty in the process. 

After the admit card and valid photo identity verification candidates will go under mandatory frisking where male and female candidates' security checking would be conducted. This step is taken to ensure that no malpractice is being followed. In case any barred item is found from candidates, they would not be allowed entry to the centre. After the checking, the candidates will go to their allotted laboratory number at the examination centre for IAT2023. 

Candidates must carry the following documents and items to the exam centre:

• A coloured or laser printout of the IAT 2023 admit card in A4 size paper.
• A valid photo identity card issued by the Government of India such as PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving License, etc.
• Pen and pencil.
• Transparent water bottle.
• Pocket-sized hand sanitiser (50 ml).
• Face mask which has to be worn by the candidate throughout the time spent at the exam centre.
• Kindly be informed that the original copy of the Hall Ticket along with xerox copy of photo ID will be collected at the examination hall. Hence candidates are requested to keep an additional copy of the Hall Ticket for their own reference. 

The following items are barred from carrying to the exam centre:

• Books, copies or papers of any kind.
• Mobile phones, calculators, watches or any other electronic or digital devices.
• Bags or wallets.

The exam authorities have also mentioned that there would not be any place to keep candidates’ personal belongings, hence candidates should ideally not carry any personal belongings, except the permitted items inside the exam hall. Candidates are required to deposit them at the examination centre or submit those to their parents/guardians accompanying them.

The exam authority has not mandated any dress code for IAT candidates, and they can appear in any dress - formal or casual as they like. Only scarves, gloves, sunglasses, and caps will not be allowed inside the examination hall. Candidates must ensure to follow the instructions as provided on the admit card and by the test centre officials before the exam begins.

Do Not wear any jewellery or other items containing metal. Mobile phones or any other electronic gadgets such as Smart watches, calculators are NOT ALLOWED inside the test centre. There is no facility for safekeeping of candidates personal belongings outside the test hall and we are not responsible for its loss. Only Hall Ticket, Original Photo ID Card, Transparent Water Bottle & Ball pen will be allowed inside the test hall.

Candidates should report at 7:00 AM for the session. No candidate will be allowed inside the test centre after 8:30 AM. PwD candidates will get priority entry into the test centre.

• Candidates must carry their Hall Ticket on an A4 size paper using a laser printer. Hall Ticket is valid only if the candidate’s photograph and signature images are legibly printed. Paste the photograph at the indicated place. The Hall Ticket is to be produced for verification at the time of the test. This Hall ticket is valid only for the test date and sessiontime as specified.
•  The Hall Ticket is to be produced for verification at the time of the test and at least one original (not scanned) valid (not expired) photo identification card (such as Voter
  ID, Passport, Pan Card, Driving License, Photo pasted Nationalised Bank Passbook, UID.
• Make sure to print, fill up and carry the Self-Declaration form which will be present along with the Hall Ticket.
• Candidates are advised to locate their test centre and its accessibility at least a day before the test so that they can reach the centre on time on the day of the test.

The IISER Aptitude Test 2023 will be conducted only in the Computer Based Test (CBT)
mode. 

IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) will be conducted as a computer based test in centres across
India. IAT will consist of 60 questions, 15 questions each from Biology, Chemistry,
Mathematics, and Physics.
Total time for answering the test will be 180 minutes. Questions will be of multiple choice
type with only one correct answer.
● Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks.
● Each incorrect answer will lead to the deduction of 1 mark.
● Unanswered questions will be awarded 0 mark.
● Therefore, Maximum marks in IAT will be 240.

● Candidates seeking admission under JEE channel should have qualified in the JEE (Advanced) in
the year 2023, and should have rank within 15000 in the common rank list or in the respective
category rank lists (GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD).
● Those who qualified JEE (Advanced) in any year other than 2023 are not eligible.
● Candidates with JEE (Advanced) preparatory ranks are not eligible.
● Candidates seeking admission under this channel do not have to appear for IAT-2023.

The KVPY-SA-2021 students who have received the provisional KVPY fellowship award are
eligible to apply for admission.
● Candidates in the extended KVPY merit list are not eligible.
