IAT 2023 Exam Updates: Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), the examination conducting body of IISER Aptitude Test is conducting the examination on June 17, 2023 at IAT examination centres across the various states of the country. IAT 2023 examination was conducted via online/ computer test mode for the duation of three hours from 9 am to 12 pm and the second shift started at 12:30 pm and concluded at 3:30 pm. IAT 2023 exam is conducted to provide admission to candidates in the five-year-long BS-MS dual degree programme offered by them. IISER 2023 Exam Analysis
IISER 2023 Shift 1 was conducted successfully at 12:00 pm today at the IISER 2023 examination centres. As per the reactions of students who appeared in the IAT 2023, it was found that the IISER Aptitude test difficulty level was found to be moderately easy. Students have opted for PCM in their class 12 std, found biology section comparatively moderate to difficult and the students who had opted PCB in their class 12 found the Mathematics portion to be moderately difficult. for the common subjects for both the stream students which are Chemistry and Physics, the exam difficulty level was moderately easy. Those who has studied thoroughly in their class 11 and 12 would find the examination easy to attempt.
It was also found that many questions were indirectly repeated from the previous year questions on the subjects biology and mathematics. In the physics sections questions were maximum asked from theory-based type instead of numerical-based questions.

No, it's not compulsory. There is no best of 3 but your cumulative score is considered and there are several people who achieve a good score with PCM, however, it's preferred if you attempt to bio improve your score to improve your chance of getting your preferred IISER.

Items Allowed to be Carried Inside IAT 2023 Exam Centre
Candidates must carry the following documents and items to the exam centre:
- A coloured or laser printout of the IAT 2023 admit card in A4 size paper.
- A valid photo identity card issued by the Government of India such as PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving License, etc.
- Pen and pencil.
- Transparent water bottle.
- Pocket-sized hand sanitiser (50 ml).
- Face mask which has to be worn by the candidate throughout the time spent at the exam centre.
- Kindly be informed that the original copy of the Hall Ticket along with xerox copy of photo ID will be collected at the examination hall. Hence candidates are requested to keep an additional copy of the Hall Ticket for their own reference.

Barred Items at IAT 2023 Exam Centre
The following items are barred from carrying to the exam centre:
- Books, copies or papers of any kind.
- Mobile phones, calculators, watches or any other electronic or digital devices.

The exam authorities have also mentioned that there would not be any place to keep candidates’ personal belongings, hence candidates should ideally not carry any personal belongings, except the permitted items inside the exam hall.
