Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their JAM 2022 score/ rank or NBHM 2022 examination for Masters Scholarships or PhD scholarships.
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune is all set to launch a two year Master's programme in Mathematics from August 2022. It is aimed at highly motivated students with a bachelor's degree in any branch of science, who are interested in an intense in-depth enquiry in specialized areas of research and education.
Students with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (overall percentage; not only in majoring subject) or an equivalent C.G.P.A on a 10-point scale (55% or an equivalent C.G.P.A on a 10-point scale in aggregate for SC, ST, and PD candidates) in BSc any specialization or B.Tech, and qualifying additional criteria as given below can apply for the MSc programme in Mathematics commencing from August 2022 session.
Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on their score/ rank in: - JAM 2022 in MA or MS only. (Rank up to 500). The rank should be valid at the time of admission or NBHM 2022 examination for Masters Scholarships or PhD scholarships. The score should be valid at the time of admission.
Candidates in the final year of their Bachelor's degree are also eligible to apply. However, their final selection is subject to their successful completion of the Bachelor's degree with the above-mentioned requirements at the time of admission. (Tentatively scheduled to be commencing in August 2022).
The final selection to the programme will be based on the performance of the shortlisted candidates in a personal interview to be held at IISER Pune tentatively on 9th June 2021. Based on the application forms received and the above-listed criteria, applicants will be further shortlisted for the interview based on additional criteria set by the Department.
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISERs) Admission Test 2022 for admissions to various degree and dual-degree programs offered by IISERs at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati will be held on July 3, 2022.
