IIT JAM BT and CY Score to Provide Admission in MSc Biological Sciences at IIT Delhi

MSc Biological Sciences Degree has been recently added to the two-year master's degree programme at IIT Delhi. For the academic cycle 2024-2025, BT and CY scorecard of IIT JAM 2024 exam will be taken for admission to the course.

IIT Delhi recently has added a two-year master’s degree programme i.e., MSc in Biological Sciences for the candidates who want to go for higher studies in Biological/ Life Sciences programme at IITs. Earlier, IIT and NITs didn’t have any courses for students who wanted to pursue their master’s degree in Biological Sciences and its allied domains except for MSc Biotechnology. This step by IIT Delhi will open a gateway for many graduates in life Sciences, Biological Sciences and from CBZ group students.

IIT is best known for its research-oriented and analytical mind culture, adding the former course will give a promising shift to the area of biological sciences in the Indian Education System.

Aspirants who have already filled out the IIT JAM 2024 application form and now want to enrol in the MSc biological sciences course offered at IIT Delhi, must appear for the Biotechnology (BT) and Chemistry (CY) exam of IIT JAM. There will be a total no 20 seats which will be offered in the Biological Science Course, 11 from Biotechnology subject code and 9 from Chemistry Subject code. Candidates meeting the minimal eligibility criteria will be enrolled in the Biological Science course based on the IIT JAM 2024 score and merit list which will be prepared at the time of IIT JAM Counselling.

IIT JAM 2024 Examination will be conducted on February 11, 2024 at around 100 Cities in India. The exam will be held online as a Computer Based Test (CBT) in two slots. The exam pattern has been composed in such a way that the examination will have objective types of questions. Test Papers will have three objective type of questions i.e., Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions.
