ISI Kolkata has released the ISI Admission Test 2023 Admission Notice for the session 2023-2024. The online application process for ISI Admission Test 2023 is to begin from March 7.

The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata has released ISI Admission Test 2023 Application Process notification. As per the notice, the application form will be starting from March 7 and the last date of applying online for the application form will be April 5. ISI Kolkata had already released the ISI Admission Test date online on the official website isical.ac.in . ISI Admission Test 2023 is scheduled to be held on May 14. Aspirants must check the ISI Admission Test 2023 eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The exam conducting authority will release the eligibility criteria in the information brochure when the application form will be released on the official website.

ISI Admission Test 2023 Exam Highlights

ISI Admission Test 2023 is expected to be conducted in offline mode. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the Degree and Diploma programmes as well as Junior Research Fellowships offered by the Indian Statistical Institute. Candidates who are due to complete the qualifying examination before July 31, 2023 may also apply. Stipends/ Fellowships as mentioned against each programme will be available to the deserving candidates subject to satisfying the minimum academic qualification.

ISI Admission Test 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Here is the detailed information regarding the eligibility for the UG and PG courses.

For UG Academic Programmes

  • 3-year Bachelor of Statistics (Hons): Successful completion of 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education (or its equivalent) with Mathematics and English as subjects.

         Course offered at: ISI Kolkata

         Stipend: INR 5,000 per month.

  • 3-year Bachelor of Mathematics (Hons): Successful completion of 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education (or its equivalent) with Mathematics and English as subjects.

         Course offered at: ISI Bengaluru

         Stipend: INR 5,000 per month.  

 

For PG Academic Programmes

  • 2-year Master of Statistics: a bachelor’s degree of three or more years’ duration, in any discipline. 

         Course offered at: Delhi

         Stipend: INR 8,000 per month.  

  • 2-year Master of Mathematics: a bachelor’s degree of three or more years’ duration, in any discipline. 

         Course offered at: Kolkata and Bengaluru

         Stipend: INR 8,000 per month.  

ISI Admission Test 2023 Application Procedure

All interested applicants for admission in any of the academic programmes listed earlier must apply online through the official website. Overseas applicants must also apply online. However, they must take the Admission Test at one of the Test centres located in India (see Prospectus). In addition, such applicants are also requested to share their Application ID through an email to dean@isical.ac.in with subject Overseas Application for Admission 2023-24. Applicants should carefully read the Prospectus and the instructions given in the website before filling in the application form.

ISI Admission Test 2023 Selection Procedure

Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in written test(s) and interviews conducted by the institute subject to satisfying the minimum academic qualification. Also, there is due consideration given to OBC/SC/ST/PwD/EWS candidates for all programmes. There are supernumerary seats for female candidates (SSFC) in undergraduate programmes. Candidates can visit the official website for the ISI reservation policy.

ISI conducts the ISI Admission Test, to offer students admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at the ISI. Admission to the academic programmes offered at the ISI Kolkata is strictly based on the merits obtained by the candidates which are evaluated from their performance in ISI Admission Test and interviews. The past academic records of the candidate may also be taken into account for the purpose of performance evaluation. In 2022 the ISI Admission Test was held at 38 centres across the country.
