ISI Admission Test 2023 to be Conducted on May 14; Notification to be Announced Soon

ISI Kolkata has announced the ISI Admission Test 2023 exam dates which is on May 14, 2023, the application process is expected to begin soon.

The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata has announced the ISI Admission Test date online on the official website isical.ac.in. ISI Admission Test 2023 is scheduled to be held on May 14, 2023. The ISI Admission Test 2023 detailed notification is expected to be released soon. As per the previous year's timeline, it is anticipated that the application form will likely start in the second week of March. Aspirants must check the ISI Admission Test 2023 eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The exam conducting authority will release the eligibility criteria in the information brochure when the application form will be released on the official website. As the exam dates are now out, aspirants can start preparing for the examination immediately in order to ace the exam. Candidates can expect the same syllabus as last year and can download it from the official website till the new syllabus is not released by the authorities.

ISI Admission Test Exam Highlights

ISI Admission Test 2023 is expected to be conducted in offline mode. ISI offers two bachelor's programmes via the ISI Admission Test which are Bachelor of Statistics (Honours) and Bachelor of Mathematics (Honours) at ISI Kolkata and ISI Bengaluru respectively. For both degrees, the exam is conducted in 2 sessions with a total of 100 marks. In the forenoon session, the duration of the exam will be 2 hours and the exam will be MCQ type with 30 questions. In the afternoon session, the duration of the exam will be 2 hours but the exam will be a descriptive type with 70 questions. The test subject for both exams will be Mathematics. Candidates should also know the eligibility criteria before applying for the examination.

Eligibility for B Stat (Hons)/ B Math (Hons): In order to be eligible for admission to this programme, an applicant must have successfully completed 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education (or its equivalent) with Mathematics and English as subjects.

 The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) conducts the Indian Statistical Institute Admission Test, abbreviated as ISI Admission Test, to offer students admission in undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at the ISI. Admission to the academic programmes offered at the ISI-K IS is strictly based on the merits obtained by the candidates which are evaluated from their performance in ISI Admission Test and interviews. The past academic records of the candidate may also be taken into account for the purpose of performance evaluation. In 2022 the ISI admission test is held at 38 centres across the country.
