JEST 2025 exam date has been rescheduled and will now take place on April 6, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Initially, the exam date was planned for February 23, 2025, however as per the official website notice, the exam date has been revised. Candidates planning to appear for JEST 2025 should continue their preparation accordingly.
The JEST 2025 Admit Card is tentative to be out in the fourth week of March or April a few days before the exam day for those candidates who registered themselves by visiting the JEST official website filled the JEST 2025 Application Form and submitting the JEST Application Fee. JEST Exam is conducted for those candidates who wish to get admission to PhD courses
JEST is a national-level exam, conducted once a year across various test centres, for candidates who wish to study subjects such as Physics and Theoretical Computer Science. The scores obtained by candidates in this exam are evaluated by the JEST participating institutes to select exam takers based on their eligibility criteria. JEST Exam allows candidates to get admission into MSc, PhD, and Integrated PhD programs in Physics; PhD and Integrated PhD programs in Theoretical Computer Science; as well as PhD programs in Neuroscience and Computational Biology. The exam is created to gain knowledge at the level of an advanced BSc or MSc in Physics or Computer Science.

The authorities have prescribed certain criteria and parameters to accept images for JEST 2024 application form. The maximum size for both photograph and signature should be 100 kb maximum.
While the dimensions for photographs should be Minimum: 100 X 125 pixels, Maximum: 240 x 300 pixels (width x height) and for Signature it is Minimum: 100 X 125 pixels and Maximum: 150 x 30 pixels (width x height).
If a candidate fails to upload the application form not in this format then chances of accepting the application form are very rare even if their form will be accepted they won't be able to get admit card.
Q: What articles/things are allowed in the JEST exam hall?
Candidates are not allowed to carry any articles such as calculators, books, mathematical tables, pagers, electronic devices, cell phones or any other calculating device to the examination hall.
Since the exam will be conducted in offline mode hence applicants are required to carry a pen, pencil, their photo id and JEST 2024 admit card. Students must note that if any article is found in the possession of student during exam then their candidature will be rejected at the same time.
