JMI organises FDP on EVs and Smart Grids; Details Here

The FDP aimed to empower educators, professionals, and researchers with the latest knowledge, tools, and techniques essential for navigating the complexities of EVs and Smart Grids. 

The Department of Electrical Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia Islamia (JMI) organised the Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Advancement of Control and Measurement Technologies in EVs and Smart Grids focused on the advancement in the area of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Smart Grids measurement and control technologies.

The FDP was organised from March 11 to March 13, 2024, in a hybrid mode. The FDP included a diverse cohort of 70 participants from academia and research sectors across the country.

Throughout the three-day program, participants engaged in a dynamic blend of lectures, case studies, and interactive discussions, exploring a wide array of topic including:

• Advanced control technologies in EV system

• Advances in sensors and measurement in EV system

• Advances in grid control technologies

• Advances in measurement technologies in smart grids

• Advances in cyber security in Smart grids

• Skill enhancement in conducting simulation and experimental work 

With a specific emphasis on control and measurement technologies, the program addressed critical challenges and emerging trends in these rapidly evolving domains. It was designed to empower educators, researchers, and professionals with the latest knowledge, tools, and techniques essential for navigating the complexities of EVs and

Smart Grids. 

The hybrid mode of the program combined both in-person and virtual components that enabled attendees from diverse geographical locations to benefit from the expertise of JMI's esteemed speakers and interaction with fellow participants, according to the official statement.
