NEST 2023 NISER Merit List Released; Admission Process for NISER & UM- DAE CEBS Starts Today

NISER released the NEST 2023 NISER Merit List today, July 13, 2023 on the official website of NEST i.e, nestexam.in. Candidates who were eagerly waiting to get admission to the 5 year integrated MSc course in the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) can visit the website of NEST and check their AIR. Candidates applied for NEST 2023 examination will be enrolled in 5 year integrated MSc course. The course is provided at NISER, National Institute of Science Education and Research and Mumbai University - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. NEST 2023 results were declared on July 10 in the form of institute-wise rank cards. The merit list of NEST 2023 for NISER and UM-DAE CEBS will be prepared separately. Earlier today, NISER has released the NISER NEST 2023 Merit List, July 13, 2023 at the official website of NEST i.e., nestexam.in.

The email will be sent to all candidates in the merit list for collecting Expression of Interest (EoI) for joining the five-year Integrated MSc program at NISER Bhubaneswar. (Email will be sent ONLY to the email address used for NEST 2023 registration). Please note that the EoI collected by NISER is ONLY for admissions to NISER. Interested candidates MUST fill the EoI form before 06:00 PM on July 18, 2023.

Failing to fill out the EOI form within the deadline will be considered as "Not interested" and the candidate will not be included in the admission process.

On July 20, 2023 Admission queue - prepared from the EoI list - will be uploaded on admission web page of NISER. Email will be sent to candidates based on merit from the admission queue to participate in the 1st round of admission. The email will contain a link to fill-up the admission form online and pay admission fees through State Bank of India SB Collect. (admission fees collected will be returned ONLY in/after the month of JANUARY, 2024 if one does not appear for taking admission or if one chooses to withdraw admission after taking admission in one of the admission rounds)

NEST 2023: NISER First Round of Admission

The invited candidates are required to report in person at the NISER campus, Jatani by 9:00 AM on July, 28, 2023. 

1. The candidates must bring the original docs/certificates for verification along with the hard copy of the filled in admission form. For the required documents, refer to this website.
2. The first-round admission queue will be prepared based on merit among the candidate reporting in person by 9:00 AM on 28^st JULY 2023.
3. Admission will be offered purely based on the merit list in the 1st round admission queue (only to those present at the admissions venue on 28 JULY 2023) and will continue till all the seats are filled or the 1st round admission queue is exhausted.
4. The candidates who do not get an admission on 28 JULY 2023, will be asked to get their docs/certificates verified on the same day. Waiting list of these candidates will be prepared category wise for admission against vacancies arising against withdrawals. These candidates are not required to report in person again for admission.

The admission process for UM-DAE CEBS for the academic year 2023-24 will be done solely in the online mode. The qualified candidates are required to register themselves on the MasterSoft Registration portal, which will be made active by Thursday/Friday (July 13, 2023 or July 14, 2023). The portal will be kept active till July 20, 2023 (23:00 IST).
