A total of 500 female students of Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU) have written to the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Governor and women's commission, accusing a professor of sexually exploiting the female students.

As per reports, this is the fourth such letter written by the students, and the professor has been given a clean chit twice by the university's internal complaints committee.

CDLU registrar Rajesh Bansal said they had received four anonymous letters since 2023 and every time, the allegations were found to be false in the internal committee’s probe. However, he added that this time , the allegations are more serious as 500 female students were mentioned in the letter and we are cooperating with the police in the case, as reported by Hindustan Times.

The authorities reportedly received the first such letter against the accused teacher in June last year and two anonymous letters were sent to the Haryana governor in 2023. These letters were sent to the CDLU authorities to conduct a probe.

This time an anonymous letter was sent to the university’s V-C, the Haryana Women Commission, the Haryana Governor, the Chief Minister and other authorities.

Meanwhile, the accussed professor has denied these allegations and said that he is being targeted by some people and this is political vendetta.
