University Of Allahabad: Apply for CRET 2023 Ph.D. Admission by Nov 15

The NET/JRF candidates are required to appear in CRET Level - 1 and Level - 2 examinations. The candidates applying under Teacher Candidate category or under Officers of Armed Forces category are also required to fill out the application form.

University Of Allahabad will conduct the CRET 2023 for 51 subjects comprising 1148 seats, out of which 733 seats are in University Departments/Centres and 415 seats in Constituent Colleges. 

From this year, University Of Allahabad will offer PhD programme in three foreign languages (Russian, French, and German) and two other subjects - Experimental Mineralogy and Petrology, and Gandhi and Peace Studies.

CRET 2023 will be held in offline mode in Prayagraj online. The online registration will start from October 26, 2023. The last date for registration is November 15, 2023, and the deadline for fee and form submissions is November 16, 2023.

The test fees for the unreserved/OBC/EWS category is INR 1800, and for SC/ST/PwD are INR 900. Teacher candidates of the University of Allahabad and its Constituent Colleges, Army Officers and International candidates are exempted from CRET Level - 1 Test. But they all need to appear in the CRET Level - 2 test.

International candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. Programme should contact the International Candidate Advisor of the University and is not required to apply using the online application form, said the official statement.

"Level-1 of CRET-2023 Test will consist of two papers. Paper-1 will have 50 objective type questions of 2 marks each. 25 objective type questions will be from Research Methodology and 25 questions will be subject-specific. There shall not be any negative marking. Paper-2 shall be subjective with small, medium and long type questions. The total marks comprising both papers will be 300. The duration of the entrance examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes," added the UoA notification.
