Vice President of India to visit Pondicherry University on Jan 29

Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar will interact with students on the theme of “Viksit Bharat@2047”.

Pondicherry University has released a circular to notify about the visit of Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar on January 29, 2024.

“The Hon’ble Vice-President of India and Chancellor of Pondicherry University will be visiting Pondicherry University on January 29, 2024 to interact with the students on the theme of “Viksit Bharat@2047,” reads the official notification.

“As directed, nomination of 7(seven) studentsbased on academic performance and2 (two) scholarsare needed from each Department/Centre for permitting them to participate in the interactive session with Hon'ble Vice-President of India & Chancellor of Pondicherry University.In this regard, details of 7 students and 2 scholars are needed and to be provided by each Department/Centre for preparation of their permission pass in the given below google form on or before13 January, 2023 at. 5.30PM,” added the official statement.

Viksit Bhart @2047 was launched on December 11, 2023.

Higher Education For Person With Special Need (HEPSN) Enabling Unit of Pondicherry University and Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) southern region jointly organising assistive devices assessment and distribution camp for person with special need on January 18, 2024, at Louis Braille Unit in Library Annex, Pondicherry University.

Students with special need are asked to avail this service along with the following documents - UDUD card, Aadhar Card, Income Certificate with family income less that INR 22,500 per month or Ration card, and passport size photo.
