SRMIST Placements 2022: Amazon offers highest salary of INR 1 crore

Over 4000 students received job offers with salaries of more than INR 10 lakh per annum and INR 5 lakh per annum. Over 5200 students received unique offers during the SRMIST placement drive. 

SRM Institute of Science and Technology Placements 2022: The SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) Kattankulathur recorded the highest salary 9of INR 1 crore per annum during its placements drive. The highest salary during SRM Institute of Science and Technology Placements 2022 has been offered to Puranjay Mohan by Amazon Germany for the software development role. Honoring the student with the Illustrious Student Award, TR Paarivendhar, founder chancellor of SRMIST said, “Success of Puranjay will be a role model for others.”

Over 1,000 companies participated in the placement drive

According to an official statement released by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology, over 4000 students received job offers with salaries of more than INR 10 lakh per annum and INR 5 lakh per annum. Over 5200 students received unique offers during the placement drive. The institute recorded an increase of 30-40 percent in the number of students getting placed with above 10 lakhs per annum salary.

More than 1000 companies participated in SRMIST placements 2022 and successfully placed more than 10,000 students. Comparing previous years’ data, SRIMST pro-chancellor (academics) P Sathyanarayanan informed that in the previous year, about 8000 students were placed, and 7000 were placed in the year before that.

Amazon, Google among top recruiters

Sathyanarayanan said, “Last year, two of our students were placed for Rs.50 lakhs each and this year the highest offer is Rs.1 Crore. It is a very proud moment for SRMIST as its students from non-csc (computer science) branches are also getting placed well this season. This is the highest offer made in any private university in India.”

Amazon, Paypal, Google, Commvault, Morgan Stanley, VM Ware, Bajaj Finserv, Accolite, Toyota, EY GDS, Amdocs, Deloitte, JP Morgan, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant among others topped the list of prominent recruiters that participated in SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) placements 2022.
