SSC Stenographer Notification 2022 Released; Apply Online Till Sep 5

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released SSC Stenographer notification 2022 on August 20. SSC conducts an open competitive computer based exam for recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade C (Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade D (Group C) for various ministries/departments/organizations in the government of India. Candidates who have skills in Stenography are eligible to apply. SSC Stenographer vacancies will be released in due course.

SSC Stenographer application form 2022 is available from August 20 to September 5. Offline fee can be paid till September 6 provided the challan is generated on or before September 5. Candidates can pay the application fee online till September 6.

SSC Stenographer Application Fee

The application fee is INR 100, however, women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee. Fee can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

SSC Stenographer Eligibility 2022

SSC Stenographer eligibility criteria in terms of age and educational qualification is given below.

SSC Stenographer Age Limit

Stenographer Grade C: 18 to 30 years as on 01.01.2022, i.e., candidates born not before 02.01.1992 and not later than 01.01.2004 are eligible to apply.

Stenographer Grade D: 18 to 27 years as on 01.01.2022, i.e., Candidates born not before 02.01.1995 and not later than 01.01.2004 are eligible to apply.

SSC Stenographer Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

SSC Stenographer Application Correction Window

The online correction window will be made available for one day on September 7. Through the correction window, candidates can edit/modify the application parameters. Candidates will be allowed to re-submit applications after making requisite corrections/changes in the one-time registration/online application data as per their requirements. Candidates will be allowed to correct and re-submit their modified/corrected application two times. The Commission will levy uniform correction charges of INR 200 for making correction and re-submitting modified/corrected application for the first time and INR 500 for making correction and re-submitting modified/ corrected application for the second time. The correction charges will be applicable to all candidates irrespective of their gender/category.
