Student body writes to Bihar Education Dept seeking extra attempt for JEE aspirants
All India Student’s Union has submitted a representation on behalf of JEE aspirants to the Bihar Education Department. The student body tweeted, “It's our kind request to the authorities to consider JEE Aspirants genuine concerns. #JEEAdv2023For2021Passouts.”
Students are allowed only two consecutive attempts, one in the year they pass their Class XII and the other right after. Students want that the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2023 should be reconsidered so that they get an extra attempt.
Now, the All India Student’s Union has submitted a representation on behalf of JEE aspirants to the Bihar Education Department. The student body tweeted, “It's our kind request to the authorities to consider JEE Aspirants genuine concerns. #JEEAdv2023For2021Passouts.” Since being shared, the post has received more than 40 likes and has also been retweeted by 46 users.
All 23 IITs admit students to engineering courses based on their JEE Advanced scores. For JEE Advanced 2022, an additional attempt was announced for students who were eligible to take the exam in 2020 and 2021 but could not do so. Amid pandemic, this was applicable to students of the Class XII 2020 batch, who could not take the exam even once. The students are questioning if a similar relaxation was made in 2022 for the 2020 students so why don’t the 2021 Class 12 pass-out batch deserve an additional attempt?
