UGC NET 2018 registrations to close on September 30; apply now

The registration process for UGC NET December 2018 exam will be closed on September 30. All candidates who are willing to sit for the exam should fill UGC NET 2018 application form on the official website of National testing Agency (NTA) at the earliest. However, before starting with the application form, candidates should ensure that they fulfill UGC NET 2018 eligibility criteria.

All candidates who have secured at least 55% (50% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD categories) marks in their Master’s degree exams from a UGC recognised college/ university meet UGC NET eligibility criteria. How to apply for UGC NET 2018?

Candidates can fill UGC NET application form in online mode on the official website of NTA. Steps to register for UGC NET December 2018 exam are mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the UGC NET exam portal on the official website of NTA.

Step 2: Click on the Registrations button available at the bottom of the page.

Step 3: Click on the Fill Application Form button.

Step 4: Fill UGC NET authentication form. Some of the details to be filled in authentication form are:

• State of residence
• Identification type (It may be noted that Aadhaar Card is not a mandatory document for UGC NET registrations. Candidates are free to provide any other valid Government ID number such as passport number, bank account number, etc)
• Aadhaar number
• Candidate's name
• Date of birth
• Gender
• Security pin as shown in the image

Step 5: Click on the Submit button.

Step 6: Fill UGC NET registration form. Some of the details to be filled in registration form are:

• Candidate's name
• Mother's name
• Father's name
• Date of birth
• Mobile number
• Email address

Step 7: Click on the Submit button. On clicking the button, an application number will be generated. Note it down for future reference.

Step 8: Fill UGC NET application form. Some of the details to be filled in application form are:  

• Exam-related details
• Personal details
• Address
• Educational qualification

Step 9: Upload scanned photo and signature as per the prescribed specifications.

Step 10: Pay UGC NET application fee of Rs 800 (Rs 400 for OBC and Rs 200 for SC/ ST/ PwD) through SBI_MOPS.

Step 11: Download and take minimum four printouts of Confirmation Page.

Thereafter, candidates’ UGC NET application process will be complete.
