NTA UGC NET December 2018: Key takeaways

• From December 2018 onwards, UGC NET will be conducted in online mode.

• As per the schedule announced by MHRD, UGC NET will be conducted in two shifts per day on Saturdays and Sundays.

• The exam is likely to be conducted once a year.

• NTA is expected to establish a network of test practice centres for students belonging to rural areas. This will be done to ensure that every student gets the opportunity to make themselves familiarize with the new online exam mode.

UGC NET syllabus, exam pattern and application fee will remain same as previous years. The time table for the exam to be conducted by NTA will be uploaded on the ministry’s website.

Meanwhile, CBSE conducted UGC NET (July) 2018 exam on July 8. Since UGC NET 2018 exam pattern had changed, all candidates who had registered for the test had to appear for two papers only (Paper I and II).

Now, the board is expected to release UGC NET answer keys on its official website soon.
