UCEED exam is conducted for admission to the B.Des program which is offered by the five participating institutes. UCEED 2023 exam will be held tentatively in January.

IIT Bombay will start the application process for the national-level design entrance tentatively in the 2nd week of September 2022. Applications will open online at the official admission portal of the institute. The admission notification for the exam will also be released alongside the application form and include key details about the exam, including the eligibility criteria, seat matrix, exam pattern, etc. 

The UCEED 2023 entrance exam will be held tentatively in the 4th week of January 2023. 

Scores of exam will be considered for admission to the B.Des program offered by the five participating institutes. 

  1. IIT Bombay
  2. IIT Delhi
  3. IIT Guwahati
  4. IIT Hyderabad 
  5. IIITDM Jabalpur

The participating institutes have a combined intake of 199 seats.

How to fill the UCEED 2023 application form

Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria for the B.Des program can fill the application form following the steps given below:

  1. Get registered and create an applicant account
  2. Log-in to the new account and fill in personal, academic, and contact information.
  3. Select an exam centre; a maximum of three centres can be selected in the order of priority.
  4. Upload mandatory documents.
  5. Pay the application fee, which is INR 3500 for open category, and INR 1750 for SC, ST, PwD, and female candidates.

UCEED 2023 eligibility criteria

Applicants need to meet the following conditions for admission to the B.Des program.

  • Age limit - The candidate needs to be born on or after October 1, 1998. Relaxation of up to 5 years is applicable for candidfates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories.
  • Number of attempts - There is no cap on the number of attempts.
  • Qualifying exam - The candidate must have passed the 10+2 exam in 2022 or must be appearing in the exam for the first time in 2023.
