36 medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh to get the e-Hospital Management System to manage multiple institutions seamlessly.

The CM Yogi-led UP government has been on a spree to open new medical colleges in the state. Now, in another step forward the government is planning to implement an e-Hospital management system in about 36 medical colleges in the state. The step is to create a transparent and efficient mechanism to manage multiple institutions.

As per reports, the preparation is going on in full swing. This is going to improve the leadership, management, network, functioning and administration of the hospitals and also the patients' related information will be recorded through a unique ID number.

e-Hospital management system implemented in 9 medical colleges of UP

In the first phase, the system has been implemented in 9 medical colleges in the state. It has been started in Kanpur along with medical colleges of Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Jhansi, Meerut and Agra, as reported by the News Room Post

Out of 36 medical colleges and institutes in the state, e-Hospital is operated in about 9 medical colleges and institutes, in which registration, billing, and other activities are being done online.

The Medical Education Department has made complete preparations for the implementation of the paperless system in the Autonomous Institutions, Autonomous State Medical Colleges, State Medical Colleges, and Government Institutions.

Moreover, all medical institutes of UP will be linked with the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS). The Hospital Management System software is also set to be implemented soon, which will provide online information about the attendance of doctors, paramedical staff and employees and the presence of medicines in medical colleges.

Action is being taken to sign MoU after getting the approval of the government on the proposal prepared by C-DAC for Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) in 22 medical colleges and institutions in the state. Besides, proposals are being made and sent for implementation of the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) in other five medical colleges and institutions.
