MNS is an abbreviation for Military Nursing Service. It is a component of the Indian Army's AFMS. The President of India appoints MNS Officers to either a Short Service Commission or a Permanent Commission. Candidates will be enrolled in a four-year BSc study at any nursing college under the MNS. MNS, and Indian Army BSc Nursing are used interchangeably in this article.

Indian Army BSc Nursing Examination Process

The MNS Exam is not conducted anymore for admission to MNS. As per the latest guidelines, a candidate needs to appear for the NEET UG exam in order to qualify for the aptitude test and interview. Based on the merit scored in the NEET UG, a list is prepared for the Indian Army BSc Nursing programme to shortlist candidates for further screening. 

Passing this stage qualifies you for the following level, which is an Interview (100 marks) followed by a Medical Fitness Test. The final decision is based on the aggregate scores of psychology tests, interviews, and medicals.

Q:   Is Indian Army BSc Nursing exam on online or offline exam?

A:

It is an online exam which was conducted for a duration of 30 minutes. The basic eligibility is to appear for the NEET UG exam. In addition to the, the MNS exam requires candidates to appear for an aptitude test named Test of General Intelligence and General English (TOGIGE). This exam is conducted in addition to the Psychological Aptitude Test (PAT) which is required to shortlist candidates for the interview.

Eligibility Requirements for the MNS Exam

  • Applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 24 years. 
  • They must have graduated from a recognised board with a Class 12 that included Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as required subjects. Students in their final year of high school can also apply for this exam.
  • Candidates must be physically and mentally fit. 

Indian Army BSc Nursing Syllabus Explanation

Physics Syllabus: Laws of Motion and Work, Power and Energy, Properties of Matter, Magnetic effects of electric current, Nuclear Physics, Optics, Dual Nature of Radiation and atomic physics, current electricity.

Chemistry Syllabus: Atomic structure, alcohols and ethers, carbonyl compounds, Isomerism in organic compounds, Electrochemistry, Thermodynamics, Chemical Equilibrium, and Chemical kinetics, etc.

Biology Syllabus: Taxonomy, Cell and Molecular Biology, Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution, Biochemistry, Plant physiology, Human physiology, Biodiversity, ecology and environment, Biotechnology and its applications.

A:

Yes, the candidates can do MBBS from AFMS Pune. Eligibility for pursuing an MBBS at AFMC Pune requires a class 12th with at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Selection is primarily based on NEET scores, followed by an interview and medical examination at AFMC Pune. Q:   When will NTA release the NEET 2025 result?

A:

NTA released the re-revised scorecard on July 26, 2024. In this scorecard, the score has been revised as per the Supreme Court verdict of removing the bonus marks awarded earlier for the controversial Physics question, and deducting one mark from those who marked incorrect answer options. The city and centre-wise result data such as number of candidates appeared and scores obtained, by masking candidates' personal data was released on July 21, as per the Supreme Court order given on the hearing dated July 18, 2024. The NEET 2024 result for the re-exam, which was conducted on June 23, was declared on July 1, day day after the slated date. The final answer keys for the NEET 2024 re-exam was released by June 30, ahead of the result declaration. Earlier, the result of NEET 2024 was declared by NTA on June 4, 2024, 10 days ahead of the original schedule, which was June 14, 2024. NTA released the final NEET answer keys on June 4, prior to the release of the NEET result 2024. The NEET result was declared in an online mode. Candidates have to log in with their registration credentials or application number and date of birth, and download their scorecard in PDF format. NTA also released the merit list containing the name, Roll Number, All India Rank and Percentile of the candidates. Along with the NEET 2024 scorecard, NTA also released the NEET 2024 cutoff marks or the qualifying marks/scores.

  • By reading and comprehending in English on a daily basis, you can learn new words, and proverbs, and expand your vocabulary.
