According to media reports, RRBs are in the process to decide RRB NTPC, RRC Group D exam dates, the new dates will be announced soon. Read below for more details on the same. 

The decision of Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) on RRB NTPC, RRC Group D exam dates 2019 is in process and will be announced soon, confirmed an official of Indian Railways to media. The first stage CBT exam of RRB NTPC was scheduled to be conducted between June and September while RRC Group D exam was scheduled for September and October. However, the exams have been postponed by the RRBs.

The examination authority had also released an official notification stating that the exam has been postponed and the revised schedule will be published on the official websites of RRBs. Also Read: RRB Group D exam to be delayed further.

The various departments and officers of RRBs are engaged in finalizing the dates and other details of exam. The delay in the finalization of RRB NTPC and RRC Group D exam dates is because the decision on the exam conducting body has not been made yet. RRBs have conducted meeting with the prospective bidders for conducting the exam. The exam dates will be announced once the exam conducting body is finalised.

The number of applicants under the RRB NTPC category is 1,26,30,885 against total 35, 208 vacancies. Whereas, the number of applicants for RRC Group D is 1,15,67,248 against 1,03,769 vacancies. This means, more than two crore candidates are awaiting the exam dates for both the exams.

The selection process of RRC Group D includes – CBT, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification and Medical Examination. The selection process of RRB NTPC comprises -1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), Typing Skill Test/Computer Based Aptitude Test (as applicable) and Document Verification/Medical Examination.
