RRB Group D FAQs 2025: The Railway Recruitment Board is accepting the RRB Group D application form 2025 for 32,438 vacancies in online mode. Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements can fill out the RRB Group D 2025 application form by visiting the official website. The last date to complete RRB Group D application form is February 22, 2025.
A lot of candidates might be facing difficulty in completing registration, therefore the officials have released RRB Group D 2025 FAQs for the candidates. The RRB Group D recruitment is being held to fill level 1 posts under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix in departments such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Technical Departments including Electrical, Mechanical, and S&T, as well as Helper/Assistant and Assistant Pointsman positions.

Question 1: What is the closing date for payment of RRB Group D fees?
Answer: The last date for payment of fees of application January 24, 2025 (23:59 hours).
Question 2: Whom should I contact in case of queries related to submission of application and fee payment?
Answer: For queries related to RRB Group D application submission (CEN 08/2024): Email: rrb.help@csc.gov.in and Phone: 0172-565-3333 / 9592001188. Timings: 10 AM to 5 PM (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays). For Queries Related to Fee Payment (CEN 08/2024), contact the helpline during the same hours using the above details.
Question 3: What are the requirements to ‘Create an Account’?
Answer: Candidates should have their own mobile number and valid & active registered email ID.
Question 4: I have created an account for CEN 01/2024. Should I create another account for CEN 08/2024?
Answer: No, candidates who have already created an account for any Railway Recruitment Board notifications issued in 2024: such as CEN 01/2024 (ALP), CEN 02/2024 (Technician), CEN 03/2024 (JE, DMS, CMA), CEN 04/2024 (Paramedical), CEN 05/2024 (NTPC/Graduate), CEN 06/2024 (NTPC/Undergraduate), CEN 07/2024 (Ministerial and Isolated Categories), RPF CEN 01/2024 (Constable), or RPF CEN 02/2024 (Sub-Inspector), do not need to create a new account. They can log in using their existing username and password to apply for CEN 08/2024. However, these candidates must upload their latest signature during the application process.
Question 5: Can mobile be used for filling up the RRB Group D application?
Answer: Some features of the application module will not work properly on mobile platforms. So, it is advised to use Desktop/Laptop.
Question 6: Can I apply submit common application for different posts in same Railways?
Answer: Yes. Candidates are allowed to apply for different Posts in the same Railways.
Question 7: Can I apply multiple applications to same Railway?
Answer: No, you should not. Multiple applications to the same Railway will result in the rejection of all applications and will lead to debarment from all future examinations of RRB and RRC.
Question 8: Why Aadhaar verification is required?
Answer: Aadhaar validation is mandatory to verify the authenticity of the candidature. The Railways will not share Aadhaar details with any third party or use them for purposes other than those related to this CEN.
Question 9: What should I do if I forgot password to login My Account?
Answer: Click 'Forgot Password' on the login page, enter your registered email or mobile number and date of birth. A revised password will be sent to your registered email. Log in with the revised password, then create a new one using the 'Change Password' option on the top-right of the application page.
Question 10: Can I change my password?
Answer: Yes, candidates must first log in using their old password. After logging in, they can update it by selecting the 'Change Password' option located at the top-right corner of the application page.
Question 11: Can I edit my details during the RRB Group D application process?
Answer: Yes. Any details in the application other than the details entered during ‘Create an Account’ can be edited till the application is submitted and the registration number generated.
Question 12: How do I avail ‘Free Travel Authority’ (free Railway Pass)?
Answer: This facility is exclusively available for SC/ST candidates. While completing the online application, these candidates must select ‘Yes’ from the dropdown under ‘Do you wish to avail free rail travel pass for the exam’ and provide the name of their ‘Nearest Railway Station.’ It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure the accurate entry of the railway station name; any errors may result in the rejection of their travel authority during reservation. Additionally, candidates must upload their caste certificate to avail of this benefit.
Question 13: I am unable to upload my Caste Certificate?
Answer: They must check whether the scanned document is in ‘PDF’ format and the size is below 500 KB.
Question 14: Where should I choose my choice of language for my examination?
Answer: Candidates can choose one language from a list of languages available in the drop-down menu under ‘Personal Details’ page.
Question 15: What is the crucial date to claim SC/ST/OBC/EWS status?
Answer: Candidates claiming SC/ST/OBC/EWS reservation must have a valid caste/community certificate as of the application closing date (22.02.2025). During DV, they must present the original certificate in the prescribed format, valid as of the closing date.
Question 15: How do I know about the suitability of various disabilities for the posts?
Answer: The suitability of each post for PwBD is specified in the Post Parameters Table (Annexure-A) under the column "Suitability for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities," along with details of the applicable sub-category of disability.
Question 16: What date should I enter in the application if only the month and year of passing are available on the matric and other qualification certificates?
Answer: In case the date is unavailable on any of the qualification certificates, enter the last date of the month available on the certificate. For example May 2024 may be mentioned as 31-05-2024.
Question 17: How can I pay the fees?
Answer: Fees can be paid online only via Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI. Applicable processing charges and GST will be added to the fee amount.
Question 18: What should be size of the documents to be uploaded?
Answer: The caste certificate must be in PDF format and under 500 KB. The photograph should be in JPEG format, sized between 50 KB and 100 KB, while the scanned signature must be in JPEG format, sized between 30 KB and 50 KB. All required dimensions are displayed on the 'Upload Profile Documents' page.
Question 19: How do I know that my application is finally submitted?
Answer: Final acceptance of the online RRB Group D application will happen only after receiving confirmation of fee payment. The applicant will receive a confirmation of successful payment through email & SMS.
Question 20: In case of rejection of my application, will the fee paid by me be refunded?
Answer: No refund of fee will be made on account of rejection of applications.
