Rajasthan Police Constable Exam 2020, which was supposed to be conducted by the end of May, is expected to be conducted in July. The delay is due to the ongoing scenario in the country due to COVID 19 outbreak.
As per media report, the exam can only be conducted once the normalcy returns in the state and all schools and colleges reopen. Also, currently all kind of mass gathering is prohibited in all parts of the country and social distancing is encouraged as the entire world is grappling with the deadly virus. According to the statements by ADG Biju George Joseph, the police recruitment body of the state has decided to postpone the exam for an indefinite time to avoid difficulty in terms of its conduction.
This year, around 17 lakhs candidates have applied for the post of 5500 constables in the state. The exam will be conducted in all districts of the state. The authority has assured the applicants on the fact that the exam will be conducted as soon as normalcy returns. Considering the fact, candidates should continue with their preparation and utilise the time to finish Rajasthan Police Constable syllabus.
The written exam for Rajasthan Police Constable will be of 150 marks. Candidates from general, OBC and SC/ST category need to score 40%, 40% and 36% respectively to qualify the exam.
