RRB ALP and Technician recruitment 2018 for 64,371 posts concluded; Check details
Indian Railways has concluded the recruitment process for over 64,000 RRB ALP and technician posts, 55,378 candidates have been approved.
Recruitment for RRB ALP and technician vacancy for 64, 371 posts, announced by Indian railway back in 2018, has been successfully completed recently. RRB ALP and technician notification 2020 is expected soon.
Centralized Employment Notification (CEN) No. 01/2018 was released by Indian Railways in 2018 invited application from eligible candidates for RRB ALP and technician posts, the application started on February 3, 2018. Indian Railways received a total of 47,45,176 online applications for various RRBs altogether.
RRB ALP and technician exam is conducted to recruit assistant loco pilot and technicians for Indian Railways. The recruitment has several phases, such as First Stage CBT, Second Stage CBT, Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) and Document Verification. Apart from that, shortlisted candidates also need to pass a stringent medical verification before final selection.
With the conclusion of the recruitment process, a total number of 55,378 candidates have been selected for the posts (26,968 ALPs, 28,410 Technicians) against 64,371 vacancies (27,795 ALPs, 36,576 Technicians). RRBs have issued appointment letters for 40,420 candidates in different zones. Rest of the offers to be issued in a phased manner as training of batches complete.
Selected candidates need to go through a training process after joining, the training process takes 17 weeks for ALPs and 6 months for Technicians. The joining process is on hold at present due to the COVID-19 crisis and as a part of the containment plan.
