SSC CGL result 2020 for tier-III out

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the SSC CGL tier-III 2018 result today, September 30, 2020. Total 32,001 candidates have qualified the SSC CGL exam to appear for tier-IV paper. Candidates can check SSC CGL result 2020 on the official website of the Commission in the form of a PDF merit list.

What after SSC CGL Tier-III Result?

All candidates who have cleared the SSC CGL tier-III 2018 exam now have to appear for the final tier (tier-IV) of SSC CGL recruitment, which is a computer proficiency test/data entry skill test /document verification. Check: SSC CGL exam pattern 

All candidates clearing the SSC CGL tier-IV exam will then be shortlisted for recruitment in various Group-B and -C posts in various ministries/departments of the Government of India. The candidates will be shortlisted as per the available SSC CGL 2018 vacancies. Total 12,929 vacancies were announced by Staff Selection Commission for recruitment through SSC CGL 2018 exam.

Earlier, the Staff Selection Commission had announced it is trying its best to announce the SSC CGL result 2018 for tier-III exam at the earliest despite the difficulties it is facing due to COVID-19. The Commission stated, "It has come to the notice of the Commission that candidates are anxiously awaiting the result of this examination." SSC further informed, "It is the sincere endeavour of the Commission to ensure that the result of the examination is announced as early as possible."

Earlier, the SSC CGL result was scheduled to be declared on May 8, 2020 but was delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic. As per sources, the delay in the declaration of SSC CGL 2018 result might also be due to the SSC UFM rule, which recently led to a lot of protests by SSC CHSL 2018 aspirants. SSC CGL tier-II 2018 result was announced by the commission on October 25, 2019. Also, SSC CGL tier-I 2018 result was declared on August 20, 2019.
