SSC CPO 2019 dates for DME have been announced by SSC. The DME will be conducted on October 18, 20, 21, 22, and 23. Read below to check the medical standards of SSC CPO.

SSC CPO 2019 dates have been announced for Detailed Medical Examination (DME). According to the schedule, the DME of female candidates will be conducted on October 23. The DME of male candidates will be conducted on October 18, 20, 21, 22 and 23. DME is conducted for candidates who have declared provisionally qualified in Paper-II. Candidates must report at 6 am on the specified date and time. Candidates should carry with them an original photo identity card issued by a government/educational institution. SSC CPO admit card 2019 for DME will be made available by October 8, 2021. The Review Medical Examination (RME) of candidates will be conducted in continuation of DME, preferably on the next day of DME.

In DME, all the candidates will be examined by the medical officer of CAPFs or any other medical officer or assistant surgeon belonging to Grade-I of any Central/State Government hospital or dispensary. Candidates who are found to be unfit will be informed of the position and they can make an appeal before RME within the prescribed time limit of 15 days.

SSC CPO Medical Standards

The medical standards prescribed for SSC CPO are given below:

Eyesight: The minimum near vision should be N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye). The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye) of both eyes without any correction like wearing glasses or surgery of any kind to improve visual acuity. In a right-handed person, the right eye is a better eye and vice versa.

Candidates must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein, or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision.

Candidates must be in the good mental and physical condition and free from any physical defect.

Finally, selected candidates for the posts of Sub-Inspector as part of the training have to pass seven obstacles such as jumping over the vertical board, holding the rope on jumping the board, tarzan swing, jumping on the horizontal board, parallel rope, monkey crawl, vertical rope to be retained in the force.
