The Education Minister of West Bengal, Partha Chatterjee has urged the National Testing Agency (NTA) to change the UGC NET 2020 exam dates that coincide with Durga Puja. Chatterjee took to Twitter and urged NTA soon after the subject- and shift-wise UGC NET 2020 exam dates were released recently. Speaking to media, Chatterjee said that the decision of the Centre and NTA to conduct UGC NET exam amid festivities ignores the sentiments of thousands of candidates. He said that Durga Puja is the biggest festival in Bengal. It is also a national festival. How can NTA fix the NET exam date on the day of the Puja?
The NTA UGC NET 2020 exam is scheduled to be held in two shifts per day as per the following schedule:
- September 24-25
- September 29-20
- October 1
- October 7
- October 9
- October 17
- October 21-23
- November 5

The UGC NET admit card 2020 for the papers scheduled to be conducted on September 24 and September 15 have already been released. Candidates can download the UGC NET admit card from the official website of the exam by using their application number and date of birth.
