The Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI) has postponed the entrance exam for BSc and MSc courses due to extension in COVID-19 lockdown. CMI Entrance Exam 2020 was scheduled to be held on May 15, 2020. The exam authority has not mentioned any change in the application schedule yet. The last date of application submission is April 18 along with application fee payment.
The new dates for postponed events will be announced only after the lockdown is lifted on May 3 or as announced by the government of India. The notification published on the official website is as under:
"The CMI entrance examination scheduled for 15 May 2020 is postponed. The new date is not yet fixed and will be decided depending on how the COVID-19 situation evolves around the country. The next announcement will be after the current national lockdown ends on 3 May 2020.
In light of the uncertainty regarding the date of the entrance examination, students will be allowed to update their choice of examination centre after the rescheduled date is announced."
