Q. Please tell us about your family and educational background.
A. I come from a family whose primary focus has been on education, where my father is a police officer and my mother was a teacher and has been recently pursuing a Master's in psychology which has been her favorite subject. I have completed my education till class 12th from Cambridge Court High School, Jaipur.
Q: Can I get into SRCC with 85%?
SRCC is one of the most eminent colleges of Delhi University. Admission to various courses offered at SRCC is based on CUET. Seats are allocated through DU CSAS counselling. Aspirig candidates must fulfil the course-specific eligibility criteria set by the college. Hence, its your CUET score that matters more than the Class 12 last-qualified exam score. Q: Does DU offer 1 year LLM?
No, Delhi University offers a full-time LLM programme of two to three years duration at the PG level. This course is offered by Faculty of Law under DU. University of Delhi LLM admission is conducted in online mode and for final selection, candidates are required to appear for the entrance exam conducted by the university. CUET PG exam is conducted by NTA and considered by DU for admission to LLM course. Candidates after completing graduation can apply for DU LLM programme.
Q: What is the eligibility criteria for B.Com at SRCC?
The eligibility criteria for B.Com (Hons.) at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) include the following:
- An aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination is required.
- For SRCC B.Com (Hons.), candidates must have passed 10+2 with any one Language from List A with Mathematics/Applied Mathematics and any two subjects.
The admission to the undergraduate courses at SRCC is merit-based, and the criteria for eligibility are set by the University of Delhi. Additionally, for SRCC B.A (Hons.) Economics, candidates must have 45% marks in 10+2 level with Mathematics as a compulsory subject from a recognized board.
Q. When did you start preparing for CUET Exam? What all books did you refer to?
A. I started taking small steps towards my preparation after my board exams towards CUET by starting with the major topics and revising them day by day because I had 7-8 hours of CA classes but the major issue came when I got to know that my exam is on the very first day of the CUET examination. I solved 3 whole MCQ books just three days before the exam for practice. I totally relied on NCERT and MCQ books.
Q. How much time did you devote to self-study? What do you feel is better, coaching or self-study?
A. I devoted around 3-4 hours daily and I personally think self-study is way better because I didn’t opt for coaching and got more time to mold the path of my preparation to my personalised way wherein I can give more focus to the topics which are the most important but anyways students might feel the need for coaching for English, General Test and Maths otherwise, no coaching is required for domain subjects.

Q. How did you prepare for CUET UG, just a month before the exam?
A. I think the key to preparation for CUET would definitely be how good the concepts of class 12 are and the major time utilization for the last month should be primarily focused on mocks and doing online mocks so that there should be no time issues in the examination, and hence I think one month will be more than enough for the preparation.
Q: Which entrance exam scores does SRCC accept for admission to B.Com?
Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) accepts Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores for admission to its B.Com course. The college is an affiliate institute of the University of Delhi and is located in north Delhi's Maurice Nagar. To get admission to SRCC, candidates must have valid scores in accepted entrance exams such as CUET, CUET PG, and others.
Undergraduate Courses (B.Com, B.A, etc.):
- Eligibility: Candidates should have passed Class XII examination of any board/university examination.
- Entrance Exam: Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores are required for admission to B.Com and B.A courses.

Q: Can I get into DU with 500 score in CUET UG?
Delhi University offers UG courses based on CUET UG exam. Based on the DU B.Com Hons. cutoff 2024, It is not possible to get into DU with 500 score as the cutoffs for all the affiliated colleges under Delhi University were comparatively above than the score of 500. Further, DU CUET UG cutoff 2024 ranged from 608 to 758 for the General AI category candidates for B.Com Hons. However, cutoffs can vary as per the courses, for some courses, it is below and for other, it is above. Candidates can check the CUET last round scores for various courses to have an idea of the colleges and their respective results from the DU page:
Q: Who is eligible for Delhi University MSc admission?
Candidates seeking admission to Delhi University for the two-year MSc programme must have completed a BSc (Hons)/ BSc degree or any other relevant undergraduate degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate. In addition to this, eligible candidates are required to have a valid score in CUET-PG exam conducted by NTA to secure admission to university. Final selection will, however, be subject to the final seat allotment done by the university on the basis of the course/college selection of the students and their scores in the CUET PG exam. Q: Can I take admission in DU MBA without CAT?
No, aspirants wishing to apply for any of the MBA colleges under DU must pass CAT. DU colleges offering MBA provide maximum weightage to the CAT percentile. Check below the CAT weighate for admission at DU:

Q. Which subject is your strong one and which is the weakest? Are NCERT books sufficient for preparations?
A. My strongest subject is Accountancy and the subject I was most baffled by was English because I had no idea what type of questions will be asked in English. Yes, I think NCERT books will be enough for conceptual clarity but I would recommend refreshers for accountancy and economics for better practice questions and definitely solve as many MCQ books as you can.
Q. When it came to exam day, what was your strategy? According to you, what was the toughest and easiest section?
A. I had all my exams in one day and on my exam day I was totally focused on revising and brushing up the major concepts. According to me, the easiest section was English and I think no section was as hard but yes accountancy had some of the toughest questions.
Q. Which all universities did you apply for? What was your dream college?
A. I only applied for Delhi University and that too only for BCom (Hons.) and my dream college was definitely SRCC from class 9.
Q. To whom do you attribute your successful CUET topper journey? What would you suggest to future CUET aspirants in terms of preparation, attitude etc?
A. I would definitely attribute my succes to my teachers and parents especially my mother who instilled a dream of studying at SRCC in me and motivating me throughout my journey and bringing me to my dream college.
