GARGI COLLEGE
Year of Establishment: 1967
An all-girls’ college, DU’s Gargi College is a part of the South Campus of the university. The college is known to have a strength of 3,500 students and is known to house 180 faculty members. Candidates can secure admission in arts, commerce as well as science stream courses at the college at the undergraduate level. PG courses offered at the college include – MA English, MA Political Science and MSc Chemistry.

The top courses offered at Hans Raj College are B.Sc, B.Com, M.Com, and others. In order to get into BSc and BCom, students are required to appear for the CUET exam. Final admission to MCom, however, is subject to CUET-PG scores. There is no provision for direct admission. The admission process after CUET result declaration is explained below:
Step 1: After the declaration of the CUET UG exam, register on the DU CSAS portal in multiple phases.
Step 2: Submit College + Course combination preferences in the order of priority on the CSAS dashboard. Here aspirants of Hansraj College should select their desired course and Hansraj College as the preferred combination.
Step 3: The University has released the dates for three DU CSAS Seat Allocation Lists which will be out on August 1, August 10 and August 22, 2023, respectively for all categories.
- The "freeze" option in seat allocation for CSAS (DU) is to be selected by the students to confirm their admission choice to the allocated college and course at DU.
- If candidates are happy with the assigned college and course, they can freeze the request through their dashboard.
- Once they select this option, they will not be considered for "upgradation" of choice in further rounds of CSAS.
- Candidates must only select this option only if they are satisfied with the allocated seat and want to take admission to this course & college
- If they do not choose to upgrade or freeze your admission, their current status will be maintained.
Step 4: Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the concerned college will verify the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate online. The college has an option to 'Accept' or 'Reject' the admission of the student basis the verification.
Step 5: Once the DU-affiliated college accords the approval, candidates will have to pay the 'Admission Fee' to confirm their seat.
On the basis of the availability of seats due to rejections, cancellations, and withdrawals, DU may announce multiple allocation rounds. The University of Delhi will display the vacant seats on its admission website (admission.uod.ac.in) before every allocation round.
