Placements: You won't be getting any placement after your B.A. programme. The three year programme includes American literature, History of English literature, prose, drama, phonetics, Indian literature and different types of electives like teaching, translation, etc.
Placements: Placements in our college are pretty bad. More than 60% of students get offer letter during the internship time. It is easy for other departments to attract companies. Being a small department college, it shows less concern regarding placement. Companies which visit for placements are mostly for IT, which is very disappointing.
Placements: The Mass Communication course doesn't have placements unlike the engineering course. So yes, there are no highest, lowest, or average packages offered in the courses. While there are companies that go through the personal connections of the faculty members, like Google, Amrita TV, and media advertising agencies including Indian Parliament.
Placements: The placement sessions are not really attractive here. Companies like Amazon, Mckinsey and other print and broadcast firms conduct placements yearly. Based on individual performance, students are selected directly to join the company or are qualified for limited-time programmes. Every student is provided with an additional internship facility in their field of interest after completing the second year of the course. The field of interest and the company can be of our choice, but the faculty inch...
Placements: Amrita mass communication offer placements in 2 firms this time. But I didn't attend for any of those. Students who wanted to pursue masters it was fine. But for others, it proved to be difficult as without placements it's nearly impossible to get jobs anywhere. Placements are a necessity.
Placements: Internships are mandatory for B.A. students at the end of their 2nd year. Preferably in a print or AD agency. So through that, students get an opportunity to work for some prestigious organisations like The Hindu, Times of India and some AD agencies like FCB Ulca.
Amrita School of Communication is the most apt option for the ones who are pursuing to become a media professional and who want to stand out of the crowd. While there is more inclination towards Journalism there is ample classes conducted which covers the topics such as marketing, advertising, CSR, photography and so on. Students will be lucky enough to interact with media professionals who have greatly contributed in their concerned field of profession.
Placements: Our course doesn't have any placements. However, some placements are offered from banks, and above 60% of the students got placed. They are providing a salary of around Rs. 20,000 per month. Many companies are providing internships.
Placements: The college didn't have placements for the English department. I had to quit and take MA elsewhere. Quit option was available back then. The engineering department has excellent placement offers, and even the commerce department is good. I am not satisfied with placements for the English department.
