Our college has supportive faculty members and good surroundings.
Placements: We have a placement supporting cell. There are less number of placements. Placements may be low due to Covid scenario. Most of the students are going for higher studies. Students may go for positions of quality control and quality assurance. Students can get support for participating in workshops and industrial training.
Infrastructure: Laboratories are well-equipped, and the library is quite good with more collections of books. Canteen facility is available. Restrooms are clean. Hostel is not that good. The food served is average. Restrooms are common for the first years. Wi-Fi is not available. The facility for laundry is less. Electricity may go off at times.
Faculty: Faculty members are supportive. Exams are of medium difficulty. The teaching quality is quite good. The syllabus is relevant and may change according to the changing scope of subjects. The details of the exams are available on the website. Students are molded for the industry.
Other: No events are conducted due to the Covid scenario. Campus surroundings are peaceful.

Absolutely satisfied with faculty, good placements, average infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Nearly 92% of the students were placed in the past academic year. The average salary package offered is Rs. 2 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is Rs. 6 LPA. Core companies are the top recruiting companies like Nestle. Students are facilitated with internships in the final year based on their choices. Students are exposed to young and successful entrepreneurs, who are invited to the college to encourage students to be an entrepreneur.
Infrastructure: The department has well-established laboratories like food engineering lab, cereal and pulses processing lab, food analysis lab, quality control lab, bakery and confectionery lab, heat transfer lab, computing lab, engineering practices lab etc. The hostel facility is good with an excellent view, and it is the best place to study. Food provided is average. Doctors are available in the hostel at any time.
Faculty: The department has well qualified and experienced faculty members with the capability of innovative teaching and research. The faculty members are specialised in the domains like food processing engineering, packaging, new product development and quality control of food products. The course curriculum is relevant. The department is moving from good to great. The faculty and students are moving towards fineness by publishing research papers, executing projects and attending various events related to the course.
Other: I chose this course because it is a unique programme with well-framed curriculum to meet the industry needs. I wish we could have better industrial support. We have more events like World's Food Day celebration, sustainable and modern technologies in food processing, and the role of IoT in food processing and agricultural sector FPAS 2020.
