M.A. in Education - Batch of 2022

Satisfied with placements.
Placements: Placements are not as strong if compared to TISS. A few good organizations also come like Reliance Foundation, Pradan, Azim Premji Foundation, and FES. Around 90% of people get placed every year. My plan after this course is Ph.D. College provides in-campus and outside-campus internship opportunities. You can get in-campus internships based on your interests and availability. You can earn a good amount for your other expenses. Outside campus, you can also get internships.
Infrastructure: Hostel rooms are quite decent. Mess food is really bad. Even after so many complaints, I see no change in the quality of the food. The quantity also is not justified as per the price of the food. But staying in the hostel is feasible as the campus is isolated from the city, but you can get a flat on rent at around a 5-6 km radius. Facilities, I feel, there are a few unnecessary luxuries. There is an indoor gym, badminton court, and cricket field.
Faculty: Many faculty members are either from JNU or have done Ph.D. from abroad. Faculty is really supportive, be it academic or non-academic issues. Their way of delivering lectures is quite different. Overall, my experience with the faculty members has been really good. The curriculum needs a change, I guess. Although it keeps on changing based on the feedback given by students. Some subjects are really great and can be applied on the ground. I must say, the field visits are great.
Other: I am on a 75% scholarship. I pay around 21,000 every semester for both tuition and accommodation. But, I see that scholarships provided are decreasing every year. And there is a sharp hike in the fee as well.

B.Sc. in Physics - Batch of 2025

I am satisfied with the resources provided by the university.
Placements: In our batch for B.Sc. Physics, there were around 20-25 students, but each passing year the number of students applying to this university is increasing. The batch that came after us, specifically in Physics, is now around 50 or so. About placements, I would say most of the students get into the placements they are happy with. The placement cell we have here is quite effective. I don't have much idea, but from the batch after us, they have much better options for internships and many more. We have a course called interdisciplinary study, which allows the student to have an occupational track.
Infrastructure: We have free Wi-Fi in the hostel, and all over the classes, we have specific labs for each subject like Physics, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and also sophisticated equipment. We also have a library that provides access to physical books on all subjects, from Science to Social Science and many more. We also have newspapers, magazines, and a very well-managed way of issuing books. We have two messes with also a snack shop that is open till 10 at night. We have very good medical facilities. We have a specific medical room on one floor in our hostel, with one more in one of the buildings. The cleanliness is something that no one can question. We have a big sports field with facilities for badminton, table tennis, basketball, volleyball, cricket, kabbadi, chess, and carrom, along with a gym.
Faculty: The teachers in this university are really helpful, knowledgeable, and well-qualified. The quality of teaching is really good, with the course being structured in such a way that makes the class really engaging. And exams are something you don't have to worry about since we have small exams spread out over the whole semester, which have some weightage that at the end gets added up. We don't have a heavy load.
Other: Physics is what I chose because I love Physics, and what is more interesting is that after coming here to study, my love for this subject increased many times because it lets me feel it also. One more interesting thing is that this college also provides scholarships for students who cannot afford education. You can say that no student who deserves to study will have to leave the university because of money or fees. This will also be taken care of by the university. One thing is that this university has never done any advertisement for itself. I have a full scholarship, so I don't pay for anything over there.

The College to Uplift My Life.
Placements: 60 percent of students were placed in this course. The university has a low package, ranging from 300,000 to 500,000 per year. The average is 6-8 LPA, and the higher end is 8-10 LPA. Azim Premji Foundation, Teach for India, Tata Trust are some of the recruiting companies. Some roles, like Program Coordinator and Research Associate, are provided.
Infrastructure: Modern classrooms, well-designed with good technology. Campus-wide Wi-Fi is accessible for students and faculty. Labs and computer labs are also available. Library and e-library are available. Hostel and residential life have amazing infrastructure. Food and dining places are also available.
Faculty: There are highly qualified teachers with Master's and Ph.D. holders from reputed national and international universities. Teachers are helpful and approachable, with extra office hours for any support or doubts students have. Teachers are passionate and enthusiastic while teaching and have good interaction with students. The exams are not that difficult, and the pass percentage is 50 percent.

Best choice for holistic education.
Placements: Not many students are placed as they are humanities graduates and mostly go for Masters, but a fair share of NGOs come for placements. Master’s students get placed in the education and development sectors better compared to undergraduates. Many opt for internships as well.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent, with good classrooms and labs. The university library has numerous resources, both offline and online. The playground and indoor stadium are great and are full of students all the time. Hostels are also great, with pantry rooms and recreational areas.
Faculty: I would say Azim has one of the best faculties in India. They are all Ph.D. scholars who have also worked in foreign universities. The curriculum is holistic, focusing on many aspects of learning. It is different from other universities as they do not emphasize competitive exam curricula but provide a good learning experience.
Other: There are many academic and non-academic clubs. Numerous events and workshops happen on campus all the time. A yearly college fest is also organized at the end of the academic year.

Review of Azim Premji University.
Placements: In the year 2023, around 5 students got placed in this course. Many students opted for higher studies. Students who applied for placements get jobs with an average salary of Rs 30,000 per month. Our university does not invite corporate companies or schools for recruitment. The top roles offered are Mathematics and Science teachers.
Infrastructure: Our university has a diversified library. Our campus is enabled with 24x7 Wi-Fi. All laboratories are well-equipped. Our campus is very peaceful. Hostel facilities are good. Hostel provides good water and electricity 24x7. The cafeteria is very good. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items are available. Medical facilities are available. A first aid box is also available on our campus. This college has a 24X7 ambulance free-to-use service only for emergency purposes. There is a sports complex in this college. We have 4 badminton courts, 4 table tennis courts, and 2 basketball courts. We also have a gym facility in this college. Many sports are conducted. There are 3 cricket nets and 2 volleyball courts. Our campus has greenery all around.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and experienced. After class, they are always available to clarify our doubts. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. The course includes soft skill courses in CRX and Python. Semester exams are challenging. The pass percentage is 40%. Our university also provides mentors to all students to get help from them in case of problems.
Other: Our university was established by Azim Premji Foundation with a vision of education for social change. Our college provides scholarships to students in 4 categories such as 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% depending on annual income. Students with annual income ranging between 4 LPA - 8 LPA get 75% scholarships, students with annual income of 8 LPA - 10 LPA GET 50% scholarships, students with 10 LPA - 15 LPA will get 25% scholarships, and those who get less than 4 LPA will get 100% scholarships. Students whose annual income is more than 15 LPA will not get any scholarship.

I am astonished by the diversity of the student community and the enthusiasm of faculty members.
Placements: Our university has a placement cell that guides students and allows them to explore various possibilities in the work sector, especially in the social sector. More than 200 organisations recruit students from APU and around 90% of students work in the social sector.
Infrastructure: Students have five academic blocks on campus, two seminar halls, and a library. Students also have two external hostels and an internal hostel on campus. Wi-Fi is accessible on campus and laboratories are also available. Our campus shows tremendous interest to support sports and a huge ground is provided. Frisbee is one of the most popular sports on our campus. In terms of food, students have a menu that is inclusive of both south and north Indian varieties. A first aid medical room is also available to deal with medical emergencies.
Faculty: Faculty members at APU are qualified and dedicated. They are very much approachable and students can reach out to them in case of any queries. Since students follow a liberal arts system of education, certain courses are common irrespective of one's major which I find interesting. In terms of assessment, students follow continuous evaluation.
Other: The community is diverse at this university. We have students all over India and each student's knowledge is diverse and fosters the same. Students are free to organise any event on campus.
