Disappointed because of faculty and peer pressure of exams but satisfied with infrastructure 2025.
Placements: About 56% students got on-campus placement in various companies like TCS that visit and provide job opportunities in BBAU. There are several internships introduced by the faculty, but generally, most of the time students have to try off-campus internships to improve their CV.
Infrastructure: There is no such place which can be described as a lab. There is a dummy lab which contains a few computer systems, mainly used by professors, and most of them are faculty, so can't be used. The processors of computer systems can be compared with turtles. Hostels are fine enough to stay with the best facilities like geysers, water coolers, etc.
Faculty: There are many qualified teachers present as faculty members, but they are not willing to teach as they aren’t interested. They teach and give only theoretical knowledge, most of the time they aren’t doing that. There is no such kind of practical things to make a student ready for industry work. The semester exam papers are beyond the syllabus they teach, passing marks are about 28 out of 70.
Other: As we know, there are good career opportunities in computer engineering as there are much better placements present in the engineering field. As the growing world is full of technological advancements, the opportunities in jobs have increased.

Good decision to get admission.
Placements: Because of the one-year course and limited option of libraries available in schools, colleges, and universities, placement options in the Library and Information Science department are not available. While in some other departments like MBA, B.Ed, etc., placements occur.
Infrastructure: The department is too good for students as well as for scholars. Facilities like Wi-Fi, AC classrooms, labs, and an IT (cyber) library are available. If we talk about hostel infrastructure, it is good, but the quality of food available in the mess is not good. Other facilities like medical and sports are better.
Faculty: Professors are helpful by nature, well-qualified, and knowledgeable, and their ability to teach is the best as per my knowledge. The syllabus or curriculum is relevant to the modern needs of the librarian. If we talk about the difficulties of the semester exams, there is no such thing. Previous year questions are sufficient for getting good marks in the overall exams.
Other: I chose this course because I want to be a librarian. I wish to improve the quality of the cyber section of this department. Scholarship options are available, and sports meets and events like Jayanti and the birth anniversary of eminent personalities are organized.

A mediocre course with low or no placements.
Placements: In my course so far, nobody has got any internship, and only Accenture came to hire for its BFSI role, which is yet to declare the results. Now, talking about the placements last year, as far as I know, nobody got placed the last time, and only one company came for placements. The last to the last year, the maximum placement was at around 7 LPA, and the average placement was around 3.5 LPA, the lowest being 2.5 LPA, and only a few students were placed (in percentage less than 20%).
Infrastructure: Although the environment is green and good, the campus and classrooms are Wi-Fi enabled, and we have a good enough central library where seats are available except in summer, but seats available in hostels are very less compared to the enrollments. The quality of food available in boys' hostels is sub-standard, but its cost is cheap, and the canteen is very small. There is a health center and an ambulance available. Facilities are available for the gymnasium, and indoor and outdoor games, but not like other central universities, and the main ground is yet to be made. Overall, the university infrastructure is complete.
Faculty: The faculty is average and seriously lacks delivery according to me, although a couple of my professors are really good. Also, some courses are taught by research scholars. The course curriculum is similar to big universities, and it depends upon your hard work if you'll be industry-ready or not, but don't expect much from the faculty. Most scholars here are from rural backgrounds and prepare for government jobs and exams like NET, so expect a similar environment. Exams are not difficult and passable if you regularly attend the classes. Attendance is mandatory and strictly checked by the HOD.
Other: I chose this course to complete my Master's degree and also because I had Economics in my graduation, so it was an obvious choice. The best thing about this course is that you get to understand the economic perspective of things happening around us. Teaching case studies, regular group discussions, and debates can really improve the course; the rest of the things are good. The worst part is the lack of exposure in the university, and there are few events conducted, that too are mired by political protests, and from last year, the annual sports fest has started, and no cultural fest has been hosted so far.

Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Very good faculty for public administration, but they have no placement cell to place students. It's a subject beneficial for civil services and helps in competitive examinations. The ratio of placed students is very low, and the university has no good placement cell number.
Infrastructure: Loads of hostels are good, but their faculty is very bad. The management of hostel faculty and students is bad. Overall, it's a good environment. Hostel faculty are not good, and the mess is very bad. The food is very bad, and there are many conflicts between students and staff members.
Faculty: Examinations are held properly, and the university teaching staff are very humble and kind. Courses are comprehensive, and examinations are held properly. So, it is good for studying and extracurricular activities like seminars. Seminars, exams, and viva are done fairly.
Other: In this university, the sports faculty is very good. Sports festivals are conducted, and all-India universities participate.

Infrastructure is the best and large, lush green campus.
Placements: If you are thinking to pursue B.Tech from here, don't expect any kind of placements. The highest package was 6 Lacs and the lowest you can't even think of. They write your name on the banner if you crack any government exam. The placement from the ECE branch was in SBI Bank as they have written. But the college is reputed; if you are applying for off-campus, you will definitely get a placement. You have to self-apply for any internship because the college is not going to help you.
Infrastructure: They don't have proper labs; in fact, they don't have extra classrooms for examinations. The department is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The library is the best library among central universities. They have limited hostels; most students are living in PG outside the campus. The mess food is not good. Medical facilities are good. Sports are also good but not up to the mark.
Faculty: Some faculty are great, but some are worse than school teachers. Most teachers are Ph.D. qualified. The course and curriculum are very old. Semester exams are hard to pass; the questions are at a difficult level. If you are coming here for the preparation of any government exam, then it is good because you get enough time.
Other: I chose this course because of preparation for GATE, and this is a central university. The best thing is you get enough time for your extracurricular activities. Labs need to be improved. Only Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated in the college; don't expect any kind of fest. The campus crowd is good because of the large number of courses. Connectivity is also good; you can get a bus and auto everywhere at a genuine price. Only GATE No. 1 is good for food stalls and markets. At GATE No. 2 and 3, there are fewer food stalls. If you are SC/ST from UP state and have an income less than ₹250,000 annually, you can get zero-fee admission. After that, you have to fill out the scholarship form for the UP scholarship.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Geology - Batch of 2026

A review about BBAU University from the Geology department.
Placements: The placement cell of the university is slowly catching up, but for now, placements of students only happen in some departments like MBA, B.Tech, etc. As of now, not many departments offer placements, and those that offer placements have very low packages, which are about 3 to 4 LPA. As I'm from the Department of Geology, there is no such placement activity in the department.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi: All the departments and buildings of the campus are installed with free Wi-Fi networks that every student can access using their unique login code and password. Labs: Labs are not well developed, generally lacking various major instruments and facilities that you may often find easily in other universities. Classrooms: Classrooms are well furnished, but they are not air-conditioned. You may find it difficult during the summers as the temperature within the classrooms also reaches high. Library: The library is great as it has all the books from each and every department of the university. Hostel accommodation is affordable compared to PGs outside.
Faculty: The curriculum is very relevant in every department, which may help you in further career opportunities. Exams are held three times in a semester: two mid-semesters in an interval of 1-2 months, and at the end, the end-semester exams are held, which are comparatively harder and lengthier than the mid-semesters. The faculty is helpful and friendly, and the exam level set is average.
Other: I chose this course because the curriculum taught here is very relevant and is core geology, which also makes you eligible for various exams like GATE, etc. Another factor for choosing this course was that it also has field trips organized by the department once a year, where you can travel and study the various geological entities you studied in classrooms. As of now, the field trips are self-financed, and students have to pay all the money, which is around 7-8 thousand. There is not much of a fest like in other colleges, only sports meets are held.
