    Life at HICAS is a blissful moment in my career.
    Placements: Hi guys! I'm Gowtham from HICAS, B.Voc dept, actually, the placement process is difficult to understand. Placement is based on your portfolio and MAAC offers 100% placement assurance. By the 2nd year, you will be talented enough to work as a freelancer. The college lab is very useful if you don't own a laptop. Top companies like Zoho would recruit us as interns. Roles like web designer, and UI/UX designers are preferred more.
    Infrastructure: Our MAAC dept offers many facilities unlike other departments, like air-conditioned classrooms, and computer labs that are open until 7 pm. College Wi-Fi is good too, and many necessary books are available at the library, and some fun novels like Harry Potter are available too. You may use your ID card to enter the library. Hostels have facilities like hot drinking water, and hot water in the morning for bathing. Food quality is not bad. There would be canteens everywhere, and a ground near the hostel to play.
    Faculty: The teachers are very friendly and easy to interact with, they are qualified tutors, and they would find new and easy methods to teach the students and make them understand easily. As our course is a vocational degree, it offers the much-needed experience to the students and makes them ready for the placements. Semester exams are easy, but the practical exams are strict.
    Other: I chose this course as it is my dream to learn various software and design stuff. And the campus will be lively always. There are fests happening now and then. Class tutors would take care of the scholarships.

    Good Infrastructure and Facilities.
    Placements: This course is considered to be a part of Computer Science and Applications, and placements are the same for all CS departments. But some companies, who don't have knowledge about vocational studies, won't consider this as a UG degree and won't hire the students who pursued B.Voc.
    Infrastructure: All the students have access to college Wi-Fi, with unique usernames and passwords to access educational content. Social media and other sensitive webpages are blocked using a firewall. All the classes have projectors, and students have access to the library as well, where they can borrow 3 books at a time. The college has 2 canteens, a Xerox shop, a browsing center, a health center, a gym, indoor and outdoor stadiums, and more.
    Faculty: In this department, there are 6 staff members, all of whom are doctorate holders. The curriculum is updated to the current technology. This course has 40% labs and 60% theory content. The pass percentage is 40%, and students need 75% attendance to attend semester exams.

    I am disappointed because of hostel facilities.
    Placements: I heard only a few were placed in mid-level multimedia companies. There is an internship every semester. Less than 50% of students were placed, some started their own business, some entered higher education. Placement is not that much attractive in this state university.  Initially, they offered Infosys companies online programme and we received certificates, which was helpful.
    Infrastructure: Only Bharathiar University's main gate and office building appear majestic, but inside, classrooms are in not good conditions except for a few departments. Infrastructure of the old hostels is not good. There is no proper drainage system. Holds are warden here. In a very small room, they allocate 3–4 students. Students also occupied the reading room during their stay. University hostel is not the right place if you come here to study. Wi-Fi is there, but it never works, Library is useful here. An indoor stadium is present here, which is in good condition. Security issues were present in hostel. University Hospital rarely has tablets and injections. They say it's a 1000 acre campus, but no single shop is nearby us. We have to walk, walk, walk. Mess is good. Monthly, it comes in at around 3000. Rent for a hostel is 210 per month with an 8000 deposit. Only one canteen inside campus, unfair price for foods, only little employees are there for a whole university students. We can't get into class at 2 pm after having lunch at canteen. We could see some facilities mentioned only on the website.
    Faculty: Faculty is all good. Core subjects faculty are Doctorate. But some teachers are Ph.D. scholars who are undergoing Ph.D. in the same university. Teachers are knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good. All are using presentations for teaching, Curriculum is relevant. It is making students industry ready. It's easy to get a pass percentage with 50% internal and 50% semester marks. At the graduation ceremony, gold medals are distributed to rank holders in the presence of the chancellor/governor.
    Other: I paid 4,000/sem, which is a very low fee for this course. So it's value for money.
