Q:   How can I get admission in Bardhaman University?

A: 

In order to get admission to various UG & PG courses at Bardhman University, also called Burdwan University, candidates must check the minimum eligibility for their desired course on the university's official website. Bardhman University admission process is both merit and entrance-based. For most of the UG & PG courses from the stream of Commerce, Humanities and Science, candidates are selected based on their merit scores of previous qualifying exams. Whereas, for courses such as MBA, MTech, LLB, etc., candidates have to submit the scores of entrance exams such as MAT, GATE, University-level Written Test, respectively. An online application form is filled on the university's official website.

A: 

No, Burdwan University BA LLB admissions have been closed for the year 2023. As per the last notification released on the official website, the university released final merit list of the selected candidates in the month of July. The application window for the year academic year 2024-24 has not started yet. However, the admission dates for the academic year 2024-25 will be released soon on the official website.

A: 

. Yes, students pursuing any PG programme from Burdwan University, with first and second rank at UG level are awarded a scholarship of INR 3,100 per month for a period of two years. Also, students with at least 55 per cent aggregate in the best five subjects at UG level are awarded a scholarship of INR 2,000-5,000 per month.

If one were literature student then one choose Sarat Centenary College.
Placements: Sarat Centenary College had 60% B.A course students. Because B.A course is most affordable course. The highest salary offered was above Rs. 20,000 and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 10,000. Our College doesn't provide internships. But final-year student gets too many future-related seasons.
Infrastructure: Sarat Centenary College facilities were good. Sarat Centenary College have gym, many students complete their daily workouts. College have playground for practice to many sports like cricket, football, volleyball, etc. College doesn't have any hostel for students.
Faculty: Sarat Centenary College teachers were highly qualified and have ability to prepare a student for his\her future. Sarat Centenary College teachers were very kind, helpful, and supportive. Students in many things like studies, exploring, inventions, etc.
Other: I am choosing this course because I love arts subjects like Bengal, english, history, etc. B.A. course was very improved course that I have seen. Sarat Centenary College arrange social functions every year.

Campus life in Rampurhat College is good; enjoy and study well.
Placements: After completing a B.Sc. in Mathematics, students are eligible to get a job easily in private banks, the education sector, LIC offices, etc. Mathematics is a subject that helps to get a job easily; it is a better opportunity also to grow your career. Normally, the college does not make placements, but after 1 year, you can get a job easily.
Infrastructure: In our Maths Dept. in Rampurhat College, all facilities are available, like a good classroom, and the faculty are very good and helpful. In our college, you can enjoy your college life with a small canteen where many items are available, like fruits, biscuits, and reasonable prices. In our college, every month, medical camps are held. Recently, we played sports very well in our college. Every year, sports and many games are played by our Physical Education department in charge.
Faculty: All the teachers of Rampurhat College are very helpful. Especially in our department, all faculty members are well-qualified, and all faculties have completed their Ph.D. in various fields. Other departments like Computer Science and Engineering are also the same. Our college has a large number of faculty members in various subjects. In our college, semester exams are held very disciplined. No teachers are doing illegal activities in exams. Our college has a good student ratio for passing semester exams. In the Science stream, the passing marks of overall students are very good, but in the Arts, it's bad.
Other: I chose B.Sc. Mathematics (Hons) over other courses just because it is an important subject among other subjects. Mathematics is everywhere. After completing this course, you will find help in all competitive exams because math is there in every exam. I wish to modify this course in a very practical way, instead of being very theoretical. In our college, every year, Nabin Boon Utsav is held for new students as a welcome party. And every year, sports and cultural activities are held. All the schemes you will get, such as scholarships, library books, and etc.

My experience as a student in hmc.
Placements: As per my knowledge The college doesn't offer any placement as they provide normal B.Sc. B.Com B.A. degrees and there aren't many students per class in my class there are probably 20-25 students but there are some courses in which there are many students .
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good there are many different kinds of departments like physiology Chemistry botany Zoology urdu English and many more and there is also a library as for the hostels I don't know much about it but I have seen hostel building there but I don't know about It.
Faculty: The faculty members of my department are very strict and easily angered but they are also very knowledgeable and in the exams you don't face many difficulties if you have attended some of the classes atleast but if you don't attend classes and direct go on exam day teachers will be very angry and might not allow you to take exam.
Other: Well I didn't think much about the course since my tuition teacher said it would be better for so I chose it but if I were to give advice someone I won't recommend this please chose your course wisely and don't just blindly follow anyone .

The ambience of the campus is excellent.
Placements: Above 50% of students were placed in our course. The highest package offered in our course is 2.5 LPA. Recruiting companies were Bajaj Finance, Muthoot, etc. Above-average students were recruited by college campuses. The companies' offers are moderate, and very few are satisfied.
Infrastructure: The classrooms were above average. The campus and department had a good ambiance. The library is very disciplined. The sports equipment is average, which makes it quite satisfying. The infrastructure of the campus is excellent. The hostel facilities are quite good.
Faculty: The teachers are excellent. The behavior of the faculty is average. The teachers motivate a lot and have good communication with the students. The exams are moderate to difficult. The passing percentage was 40%. The course mainly deals with Business Operations and Management.

Life of a student in a college.
Placements: I am currently a first-year student studying math honors at this college. I think this course is better because it has a lot of potential for job placement. In this course, the lowest package is 40,000 per month. In this college, 75% of students get permanent jobs.
Infrastructure: Our department has very good professors who teach us. They are really good. This college provides a library card so we can take books for studies. Wi-Fi is available, but we don't know the password, so I can't connect my phone. There are at least two labs for every subject and a digital board.
Faculty: Our college teachers, meaning our math department teachers, are really good. They support us to grow and teach pleasantly, and they are so polite. The teachers' teaching quality is like that of a personal private tutor. The semester exams are tough, but they are not too difficult to clear.
Other: I personally chose math honors because I like this subject. This college organizes many festivals like Saraswati Puja, an annual function, and sports day, among others.

An average government college.
Placements: Since it is a Government College, there are no placements provided. But hard work always pays off and every degree has some value. On a positive note, there are several courses provided throughout the three/four years for the students to develop various skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average I'd definitely agree. The classes are not always cleaned. The computer lab has one computer which always seems haunted and the environment is capable of making you sick. There is no Wi-Fi in the college. There is also a library in the college which is actually very good. It is well stocked with recent magazines and books.
Faculty: The faculty in this college is very qualified. In every department, the teachers are very kind, helpful and actually teach well. They seem like they belong to a better place. The classes are not very regular but whenever I sat in the classes, it was a good experience.
Other: The best thing about the college is definitely its faculty, the infrastructure is average. The fests conducted are also average. I wish they would focus more on making the classrooms clean and breathable. I wish they would conduct regular classes for the students.
