    Q:   Is M.A. at Central University of Rajasthan worth the investment?

    A:
    {Source: M.A. students & alumni}

    Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary:

    Placement and Internship Opportunities:
    * Around 10% of social work students were placed at the university.
    * the highest salary offered: INR7 lakh/year, Average: INR3 lakh/year, the lowest: INR80k/year.
    * Companies hiring include Red Cross, Save the Children, United Nations, etc.
    * About 100% of students get internships every year.
    * For Economics and Public Policy students, there is no proper placement cell, but teachers are helpful in suggesting job applications.

    Facilities and Infrastructure:
    * Modern facilities such as Wi-Fi, smart laboratories, and projectors in classrooms.
    * Well-decorated hostels with good infrastructure, but food quality is a concern.
    * Canteens providing hygienic food options.
    * Medical facilities available, though some feel it needs improvement.

    Teaching Quality and Course Curriculum:
    * Teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive.
    * Course curriculum is relevant and prepares students for industry.
    * Students appreciate the professors' willingness to guide them in exploring career options.

    Other Aspects:
    * Campus life offers various recreational activities and events.
    * Scholarship and fee structures are relatively affordable (INR75,000/5 years).

    Considering the mixed bag of positives and negatives, whether the Master's programme at Central University of Rajasthan is worth the investment depends on individual priorities and goals. While the university offers decent placement and internship opportunities, limited resources, and inconsistent food quality may affect the overall experience. However, the presence of experienced and supportive faculty members and relevant coursework might outweigh these drawbacks for those seeking a rigorous academic environment. Ultimately, potential students should weigh the pros and cons carefully before making an informed decision.

    Q:   How does the placement cell for M.A. at Central University of Rajasthan assist students in getting placed?

    A:
    {Source: M.A. students & alumni}

    Placement Cell Assistance for M.A. Students at Central University of Rajasthan

    Unfortunately, the Placement Cell for M.A. students at Central University of Rajasthan is not properly established, especially for Economics students. As mentioned by the students:

    * "There is no proper placement cell for economics students. You have to find jobs on your own."
    * ".but teachers are very helpful and are always ready to suggest you in which companies you have to apply for placements."

    However, the Placement Cell was established in 2019, and despite being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the average salary package offered to students is around INR6.42 LPA. This year's on-campus placement exams and interviews took place in July, although the official placement records haven't been released yet.

    Despite these challenges, the Placement Cell seems to be making efforts to assist students in securing employment opportunities. However, it appears that students need to rely heavily on the guidance of teachers and take initiative to find job openings themselves.

    Best job placement after completion of course.
    Placements: Around 10 percent of social work students were placed at our university. The highest is approximately INR 7 lakh per year, the average is approximately INR 3 lakh per year, and the lowest is approximately INR 80k per year. Our greatest opportunity for social work students is that top companies hire them, like Red Cross, Save the Children, United Nations, etc. About 100 percent of students get internships every year because doing an internship is mandatory for every student.
    Infrastructure: Our university's social work department often enjoys modern facilities like Wi-Fi and a smart, well-equipped laboratory room with standard ventilation. Every classroom has smart features like a projector and an organized library. Our hostel is well decorated with strong infrastructure but only the food is good in the mess. Every department has a canteen where we can get all the hygienic food we like. One dispensary is there in our university and for games and sports, we can go in any stream like badminton, football, cricket, etc. Everything is there.
    Faculty: Our department is best known for having well-qualified teachers; many teachers have been awarded for producing the best students in our university. I give our teachers a 10 out of 10. Yes, it is more relevant and every student can easily handle any industrial field work. For the semester examination, it is a little bit tougher as compared to other universities.
    Other: I chose this course to get a job placement after our exam or internship.

    I am dissatisfied with the faculty of the department, but the campus is good.
    Placements: There were only 10 students in our batch. For our course, we didn't get any placement or internship opportunities from our college. The university is now trying to provide us with placement opportunities from the college side, but we are still not sure. For internships, they didn't do anything and didn't give us permission for internships.
    Infrastructure: Classrooms are fine. The overall infrastructure is good, and the old hostels are fine. The new ones are pretty good, but the food facilities are not up to the mark. The campus has different grounds and sitting areas. A mega mess is there for both girls and boys, and a mess is also there in every girls' hostel. Sports activities are available.
    Faculty: Teachers are not helpful. They are qualified, but it's up to their moods. The course is fine and relatable to today's policies. Semester exams were fine, not that difficult, but the marking system was up to teachers like a favourite student is going to get extra marks even if you write well based on the teacher's ideology.
    Other: I chose this course because the value of public policy courses has been increased these days. The best thing is that the overall course is good for me because I'm interested in politics. The behaviour of teachers should be improved. I hope they perform and act like professionals. Events are arranged by students on campus. The overall experience was amazing for me.

    Our college provides qualified faculty, relevant curriculum, and good infrastructure.
    Placements: Around 60-70% of students get placed. The highest salay package offered was around 10 LPA - 12 LPA, and the lowest is around 3 LPA - 4 LPA. The average salary package offered varies from 5 LPA - 6 LPA. Top recruiters include NGOs, Think Tanks, and government agencies. About 50% of the students secured internships in organisations like PRS, NITI Aayog, and policy research firms. Roles offered include policy analyst, research associate, and consultant.
    Infrastructure: They offer decent infrastructure, including well-equipped classrooms, Wi-Fi, and access to a good library. Hostel facilities are average with basic amenities and clean rooms. Mess food is average with limited variety. Medical facilities are available but are basic and sports facilities are good with various games available.
    Faculty: Teachers are qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable ensuring good teaching quality. The curriculum is relevant and prepares students for industry roles. Semester exams are moderately challenging, and the pass percentage is high reflecting effective teaching methods. It is a 4-star experience.

    University is good but is lacking in placement, no. Of faculty members.
    Placements: The course (Culture and Media Studies) which I have studied, is still a very new course to a country like India (Tata Institute of Social Sciences is the exception). So, we received a lot of mentorship instead of placement because there were not many companies and/or organizations familiar with my course. The lowest salary my batch received in the first job was around 1.5 Lacs rupees per annum and the highest was around 3.25 Lacs rupees per annum. The average salary offered to us in our first job was 2.1 Lacs rupees per annum. Job roles ranged from a position of a desk editor in a news channel to a social leadership fellow, programme coordinator, art director, etc. Few have also started their own film making start-ups. Around 40% students got the internship from the university from our batch. Those were unpaid internships. Yes, there is a placement cell which is more active from last 1-2 years.
    Infrastructure: University campus is completed equipped with Wi-fi. Labs are there for different schools, library is also quite good. Medical facilities are only for minor issues like fever. Sports club, photography team, drama club and music club are very much functional and are helping the students to bring out the best from them although, we didn't get much exposure from outside as there were not much inter-school activities happened when I was there. Food quality is just okayish. Hostel rooms are good. No, I didn't face much infrastructure related issues.
    Faculty: Course curriculum is very nice but the lack of few faculty members for few subjects is the matter of concern. Most of the teachers are knowledgeable and Yes, they are qualified and few are very helpful. Teaching methods are ranging from PowerPoint presentations to discussions, few practical assignments, through fiction and documentary films. There is a tradition of taking students for educational cum fun trip by the faculty once in a 2 years. We didn't get much exposure. But our junior batches have got a lot of industry exposure as I have mentioned in my previous answer that this course has just started growing in India. Yes, the course curriculum was extremely helpful and I am getting a lot of support from it now, in my workspace.
    Other: A lot of events were happening during my stay in the campus. As every department used to have their own fest where the whole university used to attend and participate. Campus crowd was also fine. Connectivity was also okay. Scholarships were the biggest boast for us. Extracurricular activities like photography competitions used to happen regularly.
