GATE PSU Recruitment 2025: A few PSUs have released the notification for PSU Recruitment through GATE 2025. Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) are organisations owned by the Government of India or state governments that operate like private businesses and share profits with the respective governments. Every year, PSU Recruitment through GATE is held to fill various technical positions in these organisations based on the candidates' performance in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

PSUs will begin recruiting through GATE 2025 after the results. Aspiring candidates should check the vacancies posted by various PSUs via GATE and apply for jobs that match their qualifications. Details about the GATE PSU recruitment 2025 will be released on the official GATE website and its respective website.

Another key aspect for candidates is that while most PSUs offer direct recruitment based on GATE scores, some companies may require candidates to participate in additional tests, interviews, or group discussions. ONGC, DRDO, and Power Grid, among others, are among the well-known companies expected to conduct PSU recruitment through GATE 2025.

GATE 2025 Application Form GATE Previous Year Question Papers
GATE Exam Pattern 2025 GATE 2025 Syllabus

The GATE 2025 exam will occur on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, in two phases: Morning and Afternoon. Candidates interested in working for various public sector organisations can learn more about the vacancies, eligibility, application process, selection process, and pay scale by clicking on the links of respective PSUs in the table below.

Q:   Who can give GATE exam?

A:

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) for admission to Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Technology (MTech), and direct PhD programs in engineering, architecture, and related branches of science.

The eligibility criteria for GATE include passing a bachelor's degree in engineering or technology or basic Science from a recognised university, and meeting the specific eligibility criteria for the discipline you wish to pursue. Candidates from India and other countries can apply for GATE, but they must meet the eligibility criteria. The exam is conducted online and is offered in 30 subjects. Candidates can check details about course-wise eligibility criteria for GATE exam at www.shiksha.com/gate-exam.

Q:   What are passing marks in GATE exam?

A:

Passing marks in GATE exam is different for all 30 papers. The GATE qualifying mark for PSUs recruitment is also different. Candidates appearing in any GATE paper have to obtain the minimum mark in order to be declared qualified for the exam. Only qualified candidates are considered for admission to MTech/MSc/PhD programs and the MHRD scholarship. Candidates can check previous year GATE cutoff for various papers on the Shiksha page or from the GATE official website.

Q:   For how many papers can one student apply in GATE 2025?

A:

Students applying for GATE 2025 can opt for two subject papers from the prescribed set of combinations. Earlier, the candidates could apply to appear in only one subject. As a candidate can appear in only two papers (only approved set) of the 30 papers for which GATE 2025 will be conducted, they must carefully choose the papers they wish to write. A candidate is expected to appear in the papers appropriate to the discipline of his or her qualifying degree. However, he or she is free to choose any paper according to his or her admission plan, keeping in mind the GATE eligibility criteria of the institutions in which he or she wishes to seek admission. For more details regarding the admission criteria at any particular institute, the candidate is advised to refer to the websites of that institute. Those candidates opting for two paper combinations for GATE 2025 have a primary choice of paper as their default choice. The second choice of paper has to be chosen from the allowed combinations. Listed combinations are only allowed, and those that are not listed are not allowed. For more detail Read: https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/gate-exam-pattern.

Another important point for PSU recruitment through GATE is that these companies will accept the score of the present year only, despite the fact that GATE scores are valid for three years.

Candidates should also remember that though most PSUs consider GATE scores as the basis of direct recruitment, some also use the scores for shortlisting candidates only. After being shortlisted, candidates may have to appear in an interview, test, or group discussion for final recruitment. For example, under DRDO RAC Recruitment, the GATE score will be used only to shortlist candidates. After that, a descriptive examination and personal interviews will be held for final recruitment.

Q:   What is the eligibility for GATE examination?

A:

Candidates with a bachelor's degree in engineering/technology/architecture or a master's degree in science/mathematics/statistics or computer Science are eligible to apply for GATE exam. Besides, candidates who are pursuing final degree are also eligible to apply for GATE. For more details, candidates can refer to the following article - https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/gate-exam

Q:   Can I appear for GATE after doing Diploma in civil engineering?

A:

Hi, the GATE exam is used for applying to M.Tech or ME. After Diploma, you have to apply for UG engineering courses (BTech/BE). After successful completion of your degree, you can go for M.Tech. So, for applying M.Tech, you have to give entrance exam called GATE. You have to qualify the exam with excellent marks and rank for getting good college. Regards.

Q:   How many GATE exam centres can a candidate choose?

A:

A candidate can choose at least three exam cities while filling the GATE application form. The conducting authorities will conduct the GATE exam at around 200 exam centres from the issued list of GATE exam centres. For more information, candidates can refer to the article here - https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/gate-exam-centre

Q:   What are the eligibility criteria for COAP?

A:
It is advised that the candidates check the eligibility criteria before COAP 2023 registration. Applications from candidates who do not meet the eligibility conditions are liable to be rejected. Therefore, all candidates must fulfil all the eligibility conditions. Check below for the eligibility criteria: - The candidate must be an Indian national. - Candidates must have a valid GATE score, I. e. , be qualified in 2023/2022/2021. - In the case of more than one valid scorecard, candidates must provide the scorecard with a better score or rank. - Candidates must check the eligibility criteria of the respective institute before applying.
