Is BCom at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) worth the investment?

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's a summary of the key points:

Positive Points:

* Strong placement records: DAVV has a consistent track record of placing its BCom students in reputed companies, with an average package ranging from INR5 Lacs to INR12 Lacs per annum.
* Good faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable, experienced, and supportive, with many holding PhDs.
* Relevant course curriculum: The course covers a wide range of topics, including accounting, taxation, and finance, making students industry-ready.
* Internship opportunities: Students can opt for internships with top companies, providing valuable hands-on experience.
* Infrastructure: The college has modern facilities, including Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, state-of-the-art labs, and a well-stocked library.

Negative Points:

* Limited hostel facilities: While the hostel facilities are available, some students find them inadequate, with issues such as poor ventilation and cramped spaces.
* Limited extra-curricular activities: While the college organizes some events and festivals, students feel that there could be more opportunities for participation and engagement outside of academics.

Overall Assessment:
While there may be some limitations, the positive factors outweigh the negative ones. With its strong placement record, knowledgeable faculty, and relevant course curriculum, DAVV's BCom programme appears to be a worthwhile investment for students seeking a career in accounting, taxation, or finance. However, potential students should weigh the pros and cons carefully and consider factors such as accommodation and extracurricular activities before making a decision.

B.Com. in Taxation - Batch of 2026
Offered by ISBA Institute of Professional Studies

No placement, affordable but bad crowd.
Placements: There are no placement facilities, so you have to reach out for jobs and placements yourself. There are also no internships or recruiting camps. Mostly, as just a B.Com graduate, you will get around 3 LPA on average, and you need skills for a better package.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but I wouldn't say that it is the best of all. It should have a lot more things, such as labs. Classrooms, a library, and an auditorium where every college event is held are available. However, there is no college hostel, no medical facilities, and the canteen is not open.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful; even though I am not very regular, the teachers really help a lot if you ask them. The teaching quality is okay; it could be better, especially if there were projects and more high technology. Semester exams are normal; if you have prepared well, then you are good to go.
Other: Accounts and economic knowledge are the best things about my course, as they can help in a lot of fields. What I wish would be better is the opportunity for commerce students, as the package for only a B.Com graduate is not sufficient for recruitment. The fees are affordable, and the campus crowd is not good. There are many extracurricular activities, and I did not get any scholarships, only a discount as my 12th-grade score was over 80.

B.Com. with Computer Application - Batch of 2023
Offered by Chameli Devi Group of Institutions
3.8

My review of Chameli Devi for B.Com with Computer Application.
Placements: There are 72 students in my class. I am a B.Com with Computer Application student. There are no placement opportunities for the B.Com course. But there are other extracurricular courses they provide to help you in jobs with proper certification. They are worthy to do.
Infrastructure: Overall campus is clean. Infrastructure is quite good. Classes are also good. Computer labs are well updated and have good computer nodes. Everything is good in labs, the systems, and the smart board. The canteen has great taste in food. Even the mess is also better than expected.
Faculty: Faculty members are the best part of Chameli Devi College. Not only in B.Com, but in every course, they have good faculty members with great values for students. Doubt solving, and they have well-experienced teachers. For B.Com, there is no percentage criteria, but for B.Com Honors, there is a minimum 60 percentage criteria.

B.Com. (Hons.) - Batch of 2025

Renaissance college review .
Placements: There is no college placement, or no college placement cell, that's why I am giving only one star. There is no placement from the college after B.Com completion. There is also very poor management of the placement cell, that's why I am giving only one star.
Infrastructure: There are proper facilities for classrooms and the library. As it is a commerce and management course, all the required books are available in the library. The quality of food in the canteen is also good. The sports facility is average in the college, with not much equipment, but it is adequate.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well-qualified, with some of them holding Master's and Ph.D. degrees. They are very good in their respective subjects and very helpful towards students. The difficulty level of college exams is good—neither too hard nor too easy—just a normal level, but still challenging without being too difficult.
Other: In one batch, we have almost 50-60 students. It's a very good environment in the college, with friendly behavior from all the staff, who are very good-natured and help improve our skills.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2026
Offered by IPS Academy

It has strong academics and supportive faculty members.
Placements: In IPS Academy, about 40-50% of students got placed in the B.Com course. The highest salary package offered in B.Com ranges from 15-20 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered ranges from 5-10 LPA. The average salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, HDFC Bank, etc., visit the college to hire students. About 80-90% of students got internships in B.Com in companies like Insplore, Zielhoch, etc. The top role in B.Com is from undergraduate.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the B.Com department is peaceful and a study environment. Classrooms are big with smart boards and the best faculty members. Rooms of hostels are also ventilated with a fresh environment. Medical facilities are also available 24x7.
Faculty: Faculty members teaching quality is best. They are very helpful to students. The environment they create is helpful to students. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes the students industry-ready because our college organises the visits to industries and helps us to know about it too. Exams in the college are moderate to hard.

Honest review by an honest student.
Placements: The placements are not good. They don’t even have a good placement cell. I guess the placements are very, very low, and there are no internship programs provided by the college. So, you can’t rely on college placements; you have to do it on your own.
Infrastructure: The college has very poor infrastructure. The courses with more students have good classrooms, but the courses with fewer students have very bad and small classrooms. So, basically, the more you pay, the better classroom you get. The college has no hostel area.
Faculty: The faculty is not good. They lie when you are going to take admission; at the time of admission, whatever they are saying is a lie. The teachers don’t even take classes many times, and if they do, they don’t even know how to teach properly. Although, no one attends classes.
Other: The campus is in a very small area, and they don’t even have a canteen on the college campus. They also don’t have any playgrounds for sports. The crowd in the college is also very small and full of mannerless, low-standard students.

School of commerce, Devi ahilya vishwavidhalay.
Placements: Placement scenarios for undergraduate students are not that great. Generally, people opt for post-graduation after completing their undergraduate studies. The university does have post-graduation courses with placement opportunities, but for undergraduate students, the maximum placement you can get is up to 3 Lacs.
Infrastructure: The university provides hostel services which are accessible and affordable. I myself opted for a private hostel. There are a lot of hostels and PGs available in the nearby area, which are quite affordable. They are also near the coaching centers, and one can always go for flats, which are easily available.
Faculty: The faculty here is quite supportive, which is the best part, and the curriculum is designed according to the new education policy. There are a lot of opportunities for students who are interested in extracurricular activities. The new education policy has also been implemented.

No, you can't take admission in other colleges. If you want to take admission in other colleges, you need to start from the beginning. You cannot take second-year admission in other colleges. There is a huge difference between school and University.
