We are dissatisfied with this course because of the placements.
Placements: If anyone wants an internship, it was easy to get, but placement from corporate private companies was not at a higher package. But if you try other options like state PCS exams, UPSC exams, or SSC exams, this can help you to be in a better position and get attractive packages.
Infrastructure: Almost all of the facilities are present there like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, ground, indoor, outdoor, canteen, and mess. These facilities were properly maintained, but for some affiliated colleges, they have the facilities and grounds, but they are not maintained.
Faculty: Yes, teachers were very helpful, well-qualified, knowledgeable, and most importantly, very supportive in everything. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the student industry-ready. The pass percentage is not exact, but it’s around 80%. Exams are not much difficult, and if you read, you will crack it.
Other: I loved it, that’s why I chose it. The fest is important to improve.

Overall, I had a good experience with my college life.
Placements: I opted for the B.A. plan course in my college, so I wasn't offered any placements, although my friends pursuing B.Com and other courses were approached by companies like Flipkart, Reliance Industries, etc. The minimum salary offered was around 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite poor and lacks modern technology in classrooms, though other facilities are decent, and sports and games are encouraged on campus. The university is also active in NCC and NSS, organizing various camps. However, the library can be frustrating to access due to many rules and regulations.
Faculty: The faculty is highly experienced, supportive, and knowledgeable. As a civil services aspirant, I found the curriculum helpful for my preparations. While the course curriculum is relevant, it differs from other universities. The exams are not too difficult and can be easily cleared with some effort.
Other: I've always aspired to be a civil servant, which is why I chose this course, and it has greatly helped in my preparations. I've also been active in NSS and college fests, which contributed to my personal growth.

B.A. in Economics, Computer, English - Batch of 2027
Offered by Maharaja Ranjit Singh College of Professional Sciences

College infrastructure and facilities are good.
Placements: Firstly, in Maharaja Ranjit Singh College of Professional Science, I am preparing for B.A. (honours) and the overall condition of the classroom is good and the total strength of students in the arts department is around 200-230. Second things about placement so it does not hold a good position for making placement of students.
Infrastructure: In my college, the infrastructure of classrooms is good. The Wi-Fi of the college is good, while the library of arts department contains vast resources of history, sociology and other subjects. So overall, my review of the infrastructure and classrooms is good and the facilities of Wi-Fi are also good in college.
Faculty: The faculty of the arts department are highly educated and have good communication skills in both languages. There are well-qualified teachers given by the college. The CCE examination field project internship makes students industry-ready. All the academic activities are required to be performed by students. So overall, the faculty are good.
Other: I am pursuing B.A. (honours) from MRSC because I am preparing for the UPSC examination from the coaching centre and taking B.A. in my graduation will help me more in history, economics and politics. Overall, my experience has been good for college up until now.

The college is overall good.
Placements: 80-90% of students at DAVV get guaranteed placements, which is also based on their qualifications and potential. The highest package gone was around 40-60 LPA, and the average package is around 4-8 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Deloitte, Amazon, Cognizant, Accenture, etc. Around 70% of students get internships based on their skills and experience. Roles offered vary from financial analyst to economics, economic consultant, investment banker, etc.
Infrastructure: There are every facility available, like smart boards, good classrooms with ventilation, computer labs, a library to access all the related books, and department Wi-Fi access, etc. I didn't opt for the hostel, but the medical facilities in college are good. There is a wide range of sports available like cricket, marathon, triathlon, badminton, football, etc.
Faculty: The teachers and professors are highly qualified; some are Ph.D. holders and some are pursuing Ph.D. The teachers are helpful in every way, and they have a friendly and approachable nature. They deliver knowledge efficiently. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant to the subjects chosen; it gives us practical and theoretical knowledge and skills for development. The difficulty level is moderate but still not too easy. The passing percentage lies around 33-40%.
Other: I chose this course because of my keen interest in economic research and development. The best thing about my course is it has a vast and diversified range of subjects and topics that are applicable in real economics. I would only like fewer theories that are not practically applicable or proven to be hypothetical to not be included in the course curriculum. There are many events held at DAVV like TEDx DAVV, Holi Celebrations, Janmashtami, Navratri, DJ events, Sufi Nights, etc. The campus crowd is not so good and not so bad because of the basic difference in lifestyles. Scholarships are usually provided based on your +2 grade. There are many extracurricular activities like joining clubs, NGOs, or being part of any organizing committee, etc.

Discontinued (May 2023) B.A. in Psychology - Batch of 2026

Bachelors of psychology in DAVV .
Placements: There is no placement in my course, not just in DAVV but psychology students only get placements after completing Masters degree. But I have heard about good placement options in different courses. To get paid psychology students must complete their Masters too.
Infrastructure: Classes of school of social sciences are in same building with school of commerce, Infrastructure is not that great but its not that bad too, afterall its a government university. Facilities available :- Wi-Fi Library Canteen and indian coffee house Washrooms ( not good ) Classroom are good Greenery is there and it is beautiful outside Hostel :- rooms are not good but people can survive. Hostel students have to use common washrooms Food is average .
Faculty: Teachers of my department are highly qualified and helpful, they listen to what we have to say and understands their students most of the time. Its definitely worth studying here case it teaches you a lot of things. Exams are difficult for students who have not paid attention in class offcouse and easy for those who have attended lectures and studied seriously.
Other: Fests, events, festival celebrations and other things are conducted and it is actually fun to take part in or just to enjoy.

Placements are very low here. We need to try our level best to secure placements.
Placements: College had good placements but we have to study hard and develop our skills. They just provide us a platform but we have to get placed by our skills and knowledge. If someone is looking for better placement opportunities. I would not recommened to join this college.
Infrastructure: As I studied in this college, I will rate it 5 out of 10. Because it's a government-affiliated college and it's an average college. College fees are very low and affordable. Financially low students can easily manage it.
Faculty: Teachers are very good. They will help us with all our doubts and queries. We have to grab the knowledge as much as we can. Exams are average and can pass easily. We just have to write our answers correctly.
Other: I'm pursuing a B.A. in Mass Communication at this college, so it is very good and helpful for all of us.

Admission FAQs

Q:   Is Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya good for B.A.?

A:
{Source: B.A. students & alumni}

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) for B.A.:

Placement and Internship Opportunities: Limited placement opportunities exist for Psychology students, especially without a Master's degree. However, some companies visit the campus, and about 55% of students got placed in the previous batch. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, and the average salary package is 6 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not exceptional, but adequate for studies. Classrooms are good, and greenery is present on campus. Hostels need improvement, with average living conditions and limited amenities.

Teaching Quality: Teachers are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. They explain the syllabus well, and extra-curricular activities are organized. The pass percentage is approximately 45%.

Facilities: Wi-Fi, libraries, canteen, and Indian coffee shop are available. Washrooms require improvement.

Campus Life: Festivals, events, and festivals are celebrated, making campus life enjoyable. Sports facilities are available, and many students participate.

Recommendation: Despite limitations, DAVV is a decent choice for B.A. studies. With hard work, students can achieve good grades and have access to basic facilities.

Overall: While DAVV may not offer exceptional placement opportunities or state-of-the-art infrastructure, it provides a decent learning environment and helpful faculty. Students willing to put in effort can still achieve success.
