 Admissions Commence for Master's Programs in Business Analytics and Cyber Security at Deakin University GIFT City Campus

14 October 2023: Leading Australian university Deakin University, which is consistently ranked in the top 1% of universities globally, has announced that it is now accepting applications for admission to its Master of Business Analytics and Master of Cyber Security (Professional) programmes. These programmes will be offered at Deakin University's forthcoming India campus, which is situated in GIFT City, Gujarat. At the 'Arambh' event in Gandhinagar on November 7, this statement was made together with a number of other significant announcements on the fee structure, the revealing of the new campus identity, and an update on the status of the preparations for campus establishment. The Australian Government organised this event to mark the beginning of a new phase of Australia-Indian educational cooperation.

These programmes will be offered at Deakin University's forthcoming India campus, which is situated in GIFT City, Gujarat. The Australian Government organised this event to mark the beginning of a new phase of Australia-Indian educational cooperation. 

The key result of Deakin University's 'in India, with India, for India' engagement strategy, GIFT City Campus is set to open for students in 2024 and will be the world's first foreign university campus in India.  This historic project daringly seeks to support Australia-India education cooperation and the objectives of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in addition to bolstering India's rapid advancement as a digital economy. The cost of tuition for each programme is  10 lakh Indian rupees, this is a reasonably priced choice for students.

Prof. Iain Martin, vice-chancellor of Deakin University, made the much-awaited announcements at the joyful event in Arambh, which was graced by the Australian government, Philip Green OAM, Australia's high commissioner to India, Tapan Ray, managing director of Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), and Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education and Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. At the GIFT City Club in Gandhinagar, Ravneet Pawha, Vice President (Global Alliances) and CEO (South Asia) of Deakin University, attended by a group of industry partners, senior representatives from the Indian and Australian governments, and delegates from other Australian universities.

Students who choose to enrol in any of the courses will receive an education at GIFT City that is equivalent to that of Deakin University in Australia, following Deakin's standards frameworks and being in line with the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), Australia's national accreditation body. The Master of Business Analytics programme at Deakin's Business School, which is certified by both AACSB and EQUIS, places it in the top 1% of business schools worldwide. Courses are accredited by the Australian Computer Society. These esteemed accreditations are given to business schools that satisfy high requirements for calibre, intellectual and professional brilliance, and a dedication to constant innovation and course improvement, guaranteeing that our graduates are employable anywhere.

Deakin University, GIFT City Campus offers Master of Business Analytics and Master of Cyber Security (Professional) programmes. The courses are offered at the PG level. The duration of the course for both of the programmes are 18 months. The mode of study for MBA and MCS  is full-time.
