My experience as a student was quite satisfactory.
Placements: 100% placement of our batch. The highest package has been 40,000 INR and the lowest is 15,000 INR. Recruitment has been from Public health engineering department, Bharatiya Cha Parishad etc. Internship for 100% students. Top roles offered were district coordinator, Assistant Professor etc.
Infrastructure: Lab, Classroom and library are of good quality. Food quality is decent. Wi-Fi is unstable though. But the internet is accessible otherwise. Primary medication is available. Doctors and other caregivers are experienced and caring. Ambulance facility is rapid too.
Faculty: Teaching quality was good. Our course is specialised in the public health sector and is one of the most demanding fields nowadays. It does make students capable of working in the industry. It gives first-hand experience and exposure to the students which is helpful.
Other: I chose it because of the relevancy and innovative nature. More field exposure could be given. Events and fests were available.

It is a good government university.
Placements: The placement system was not well during our tenure in our college. We got only ideas regarding placements and internships but did not get direct help from the department for placements. There were no on-campus interviews for internships during our tenure for us. We did internships on our own.
Infrastructure: Dibrugarh University is spread over an area of 500 acres. The university has huge playgrounds for cricket and football, indoor stadium, gymnasium hall, etc. It also provides hostels facilities for students. There is a huge library where we get every necessary book.
Faculty: Teachers here were good, and their teaching quality was also good. We got sufficient study materials and notes from them. Some guest professors were invited to teach some subjects. Our teachers suggested us places where we should do an internship and project work.

Overall it is a good idea to invest time and money here.
Placements: The campus placements have started this year itself. ETV was the only company that came. The students get internship in various companies based on their specialisation. Electronic media companies are ETV, NEWS LIVE, PRATIDIN TIME etc. Print media : PTI, INDIAN EXPRESS, THE HINDU, ASSAM TRIBUNE & many other vernacular newspapers. Advertising & Public Relations : ADFACTOR PR, GBM, EDLEMEN, LIFE'S PURPLE, PSUs etc. The defining role is quite subjective but specifications could be brought up here. Mainly 4 specialisations are offered PUBLIC RELATIONS, ELECTRONIC MEDIA, PRINT MEDIA & NEW MEDIA.
Infrastructure: The centre is well-equipped with all necessities and amenities thus creating a better environment for students to learn and explore the media world. Hostels are pretty good and well maintained, 24x7 water, power and Wi-Fi supply. 2-4 cleaners to maintain the hygiene and cleanliness of the hostel. Every hostel has its own mess with good food (more or less).
Faculty: One of the best parts of the centre is our faculty. They all have market experience in their field of minimum 3-4 years. They are able to guide us not only on the basis of what books say but also according to the market that is waiting to crush us down. The course curriculum is good but to match up with the fast pacing world one has to stay updated with the latest happenings and also one has to drop some old theories and improvise according to need of the hour. That's what dynamic courses like media requires.
