Dibrugarh University Assam was established in 1965 under the provision of the Dibrugarh University Act, executed by the Assam Legislative Assembly. Located in Rajabheta, Dibrugarh, Assam, Dibrugarh University is a state-level public university. The University has 177 affiliated colleges spread across 9 districts of Assam and has UGC recognition. It has also been acknowledged by several other organisations such as the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), among others. Additionally, Dibrugarh University was accredited by the NAAC Foundation with a grade of ‘B++’ in 2023.
