Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: In my course only 20% of the students got placed. And they are placed in keymouse IT in mohali and in TCS, Wipro. Top recruiting companies for our course were Google, infosys, microsoft but none was eligible to apply on those companies from my course.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities were good. Wi-Fi is also available in the campus, fast Wi-Fi. As if I don't live in the hostel so I don't know about hostel life but I had heard through my classmates that the hostel were pretty fine, clean and nice. And the food is also good.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable but as nowhere is prefect so some teachers teaching method doesn't match my learning capability. Semesters exam are not very difficult. And all this pandamic helps us a lot in that. Passing percent was 35%.

I wish for MCA at least 5-6 companies should visit here as almost all companies visited from B.Tech.
Placements: From our MCA course, around 20 students got placed by our college, while other students got placed through off-campus. The highest salary package offered is 4 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our MCA course are Cognizant, Ksolves, Dell, Adobe and Byju's. Around 30% of students got internships from our MCA course, and companies which offered internships are Ksolves, KeyMouse IT and Value Creed. Top roles offered in our MCA course are a software developer and IOS developer.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available in our course or department are good. Wi-Fi is available, and lab facilities are also good. Classrooms are neat and clean, and during exam time, the library is available up to how much time students want to spend. Almost all these facilities are the best on our campus. I don't stay in the hostel. However, according to my friends who stay in the hostel, the hostel facility is overall best. The quality of food served is good and hygienic. Medical facilities are available 24x7 because it takes about 8 minutes from the college to reach the hospital. Sports and games also organised by the college.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. If we ask any question related to the subject, they give the response very politely and in a good way. Their teaching quality is excellent. The course curriculum is relevant, and it also makes students industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because, after BCA, MCA is a good option to boost your skills and implement things practically and help in companies where we get placed. I think our college should invite more companies for MCA students. In the last year of December, i.e., in 2019, our college organised a festival named Youthopia 2019 and star night with Gajendra Verma. In January 2020, our college also organised an industrial tour to Chandigarh and Manali.

The placement are not that good but if joining you will atleast be happy with professors here.
Placements: The placements are below average, no good company actually visits the campus for hiring and even if any company comes the packages provided to students are low which is a demotivating for students only few take up the jobs and rest look for their own.
Infrastructure: Not much happy with the campus infrastructure average infrastructure with less facilities for students no proper maintenance. The conditions of hostels are also not good not many students wants to be there, therefore misty shift to P. Gs and find own accommodation.
Faculty: The course structure are as per the guidelines and mostly same as other MCA courses offered at college the professors are quite helpful and friendly to students, we can reach out to them for our projects and they always provide useful insights, the professors are well qualified.
Other: They do offer scholarship to students with good academic records.

It is not suitable for the MCA. They just want money from you. Hardly, 5-6 companies will visit it.
Placements: Most companies come with certain criteria for the students to satisfy. The package offered will be around Rs. 1.8-2.5 Lakhs with the highest being Rs. 3.5 Lakhs at Infosys. After fulfilling the criteria, around 80-90 students were allowed of which 20 were selected. Whereas, 1 in Infosys 16 in Wipro and 3 in the startup company of Fonantrix. From Wipro, only 4 got the joining till date, and those 4 got the joining after 1.5 years. We tried contacting the college regarding this, but they hardly bothered to reply us. So from my batch, only 6 people got placed. The college just wants to show in their booklet that these students were placed, that's it.
Infrastructure: The college has the infrastructure facility of the classroom, library, washroom, etc., which were good. But, the cafeteria was the worst with a poor quality of food, so we have to go outside for lunch. The sports games were just OK. Also, the hostel rooms were just okay, and they charged a very high price on the yearly basis. The Wi-Fi was just ok, and the fest was boring, nothing interesting.
Faculty: Among the faculty only some were good, but the rest of them hardly even bothered. They will debar you from attending the mid-terms exam and even the final ones if you are even failing short with 1 number in t he attendance. Even if you rate the faculty, after each semester, they will do nothing. Only some faculty were always ready to give their knowledge anytime.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) - Batch of 2016

The infrastructure is really very good but not all the faculty are helpful. Placements are average.
Placements: The placement for MCA students is not very good. Also, the placement ratio as compared to B.Tech students is not good. The companies called for MCA students were not good and were offering very poor salaries as compared to any company hiring B.Tech students. The MCA to B.Tech ratio for placement is about 30:1 average. The highest salary offered was 3.25 lacs annually and the lowest was 2 lacs annually. Companies like Infosys, Wipro and Cognizant come for campus placements and hire software trainees. But very few companies come for MCA students and that too very small firms offering less salaries. The college does not provide any internships, so you will have to manage it on your own until you get placed to any company which is providing you training.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good in each perspective. It is a Wi-Fi enabled campus. The library has all the resources from course curriculum to any magazine. You can use computers also in the library. There is an infirmary on the campus where you can get any medicine and cure. Labs are also good with enough number of systems available on each floor for different departments. Sports events are organised periodically and everyone is given fair chance to participate. The classroom quality is good. The campus canteen has average food quality and most of the items from the menu are not usually available but the campus has CCD but for students, it's not a pocket-friendly option indeed. Hostel rooms are also good and spacious with all the furniture. Overall, the infrastructure is good.
Faculty: There are totally 6 faculty members assigned to whole MCA department and sometimes the B.Tech department faculty members are assigned for any specific subject. Some of them are knowledgeable, helpful and follow a good approach to teach. But the others have very poor teaching skills. The average ratio is around 10:1. Every batch gets exposure to visit industries once during the curriculum. We had a visit to Infosys Chandigarh and the arrangement for staying was also very good. The course curriculum consisted of the subjects about the trending technologies and the faculties who were teaching these subjects were also certified for those courses.

Not a good college for MCA students.
Placements: The college invites many companies for B.Tech but not for MCA. However, a few companies allow MCA students to sit for placement process. Overall, placement wise, this college is not good for MCA students. The college provides aptitude classes for B.Tech students from the starting but didn't provide any aptitude classes for MCA students. The college placement staff doesn't care if any MCA student is getting placed or not. They only care for B.Tech students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great. Classrooms are clean and comfortable. Labs are nice with a sufficient number of computers. Canteen is small as compared to the number of students in the college but the food is good and affordable. Hostels are very good but they don't provide college hostel to masters students. They should open more hostels for girls.
Faculty: The course curriculum is good for MCA students but the teachers are not knowledgeable. Teachers are qualified but they don't know how to teach. Most of the faculty is partial while giving marks to students. They don't care if a student is genuine or not. They will give marks as per their mood.
